& OP! One of my parents enjoys their food and I'm contemplating this as a birthday gift for them.

And from the looks of it, most locations are participating except for those noted below:

Somebody still has to put the order together, make sure it's correct, add all the appropriate condiments, napkins, cutlery, etc AND haul it out to the car for you, so, yes, you should tip some amount. Nobody's refilling your drinks or bringing extra stuff to the table, or clearing the dishes, but they are working to get your order out correctly, so a tip is deserved. Prices have skyrocketed, and since topping is a percentage of that price, tips have gone up accordingly. Used to be a 10% tip for decent service and 15% tip for great service was customary. Not sure who decided that now it's 15% and 20% instead, again, since prices have gone nuts and percentages make the tip higher already, but you do you. Basically, decent service I give 15%, I didn't have to flag down drink refills, someone came to check if I needed anything and my order came "as-ordered", then good. If the server went out of their way, brought me "extras" or just really did a great job, I do 20% or more! If you can't afford to pay for your food and tip appropriately, maybe just do fast food drive through where no one is counting on service tips as part of their pay?
What sort of weird logic are you using here? The kind folks at the McDonalds drive thru ALSO have to put the order together, make sure the order is correct, add the appropriate condiments, napkins, cutlery, etc. Do you advocate for tipping the drive thru worker? There's also 2, one who takes my money and one who hands me the bag. Do I tip them both? It's actually more work for me to go inside the Applebee's and walk to the counter, wait for my food, flag down someone who can help, etc.

Wrong less than $1360 value, because you're paying $200 + tax + tips
Add tax and tip ide say it be 600 total still not bad for 52 meals out.

It's totally transferable too.....

If you just need a ten digit code you can feed your friends a to go order by just texting them the code.
If you do that you have given whoever the rights to the card. Like sharing your Netflix account and you get locked out. If it was a randomly generated 10 digit code then you could safely give your code except it's stated that the 10 digit code is on the back of the card.

Sounds like one of those tricks they pull on the radio to catch you cheating. Enjoy a special Valentine's meal with that special someone we just need to know the other person's name 😆

Yeah I agree. The types that think all workers should be tipped because they work at a diner would NEVER consider tipping a fast food worker even though they typically work just as hard and for no tips. But I guess they are too lowely or something.

Working at McDonald's was the hardest job I ever. It didn't help that we were the second busiest in the entire state of Illinois, but still. I never got a tip but I did get written up for not "smiling" at a customer one time.

I like the deal, but also concerned that they are having cash flow issues and going to chapter 11. I looked at the stock and it wan't great but not penny stock. Question, what protection does the credit card company have for this, like if they go under in a month, can we charge back?

Funny part is people actually thinking they will be able to buy multiple passes, reality check, even getting a single one will be next to impossible.

When i was in Canada 2 weeks ago i was at the embassy suites at the falls in Canada and TGI Fridays had a 50% off a order for 2 in our room.Tgi Fridays is inside the hotel.

Did not really want it but decided to save some money. Went down and did a take out order that should have been around $35 since i bought just 2 meals. When i went to pick it up the total was over $50. I asked why? They said oh because even with take out orders we factor in tips when you use a coupon and also different taxes.

Trust me they plan on making money on this and i doubt they're gone in secs like some think. There is always a catch even not listed.

I will bet they factor in a large tip even if take out order plus the tax and of course the people who use it a few times and then forget about it.
