How do you get this to work if you only keep it for 4 months?
Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?

"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"

Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

I have been on FI for 30 days but only see a 24 month bill credit. No $650 instant off! I want to order the ultra asap, no luck! :/

Have you been without Fi service for a while?
I switched last Jan with the same deal... It is great*** IF you shut 5g off. 5G is broken in Maine and will pick and choose times to throttle you down to .1 megabits down and upload and no amount of restarting the phone fixes it until I get back on wifi for a while. Once throttled even if you swith to 4G only it stays slow.
Switching to 4G only gives me 200 megabits on Tmobiles fast network and coverage has been fine even in Maine.

Project Fi's unlimited plus plan is pretty cool because they give you 4 free data only sim cards... I pop them in my kids phones and they call and text me through facebook messenger.. they arent at an age where they need a real phone number.. actuslly.. im not sure they ever will need one??

Plus or Ultra , that is the question. I have s22+ and I like the size better but during the year it seems like there are always better deals on trading in Ultra

Does anyone know if this type of deal happened for new customers before? Considering switching to GoogleFi and would be nice to be able to combine it with a deal like that.

My question was mainly to get an idea of when you canceled your service previously and how long the gap was before you started again. I'm in the same boat as you in that I got on the s23 ultra deal from last year on Google Fi, but I canceled after the credit hit and now I'm trying to do this deal as well by restarting my service, but I'm only seeing the bill credits option and not the instant discount.

Just a data point: I ended the Google Fi plan around June 23 last year and signed up again 15 minutes ago. I activated the plan via eSIM on my current phone and am now able to see the $650 offer in the account.

Did you log into your Fi account and click on Shop to see the deal? If you did, try clearing your cache or log in using a different browser.
I did clear cache and tried incognito mode but no luck.

Thanks, I'm not sure where I cannot see the better promo. If I remember correctly, I did the deal in February of 2023 and then canceled 4 months later.

I'd be cautious with that assumption. I used to tell people to use the trick of signing up with a BYOP Fi SIM then wait a few days and order a Fi phone with an instant discount (see the Wiki of this thread https://slickdeals.net/f/16804301-google-fi-256gb-samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-unlocked-smartphone-various-colors-600-more-w-existing-fi-account-free-s-h ). It worked for several months until around mid-Sept 2023 that Fi caught on and disqualified the promotion discount of those who used that trick. We never figured out for sure how long one has to have an active Fi service to DEFINITELY qualify for an instant discount. So tread carefully.
I went thru part of that thread and it only seemed to happened to 1 person. Others chimed in and suggested he may have not followed the rules, such as moving the Fi Sim to another phone. The user never followed up to those queries.
