Unlocked out of the box.
120 days of service require
Minimum plan - $20/month so $100 approx for 4 months
S24+ - $450 + Tax = 512GB ( BEST DEAL )

You cannot take out sim card from 4 months. Activate fi sim as e-sim and use your existing sim card in primary sim.

Thought it's a 24 Month Bill credit?
"Get reimbursed over 24 months
Receive $27.09 off each bill for 24 months
The credit is tied to the person who activated the device"
Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to Google Fi deals!

1. Sign up as new customer and activate your line with eSIM. I did this on 1/22.
2. Pre-order the Galaxy phone of your choice with the new customer promo of $650 off in 24 mos. Ordered on 1/22. Cancel this order once it shows up in your Manage Order history.
3. Wait one day. Today, on 1/23 when I am now eligible for the $650 off existing customer promo. My bill is not generated but I was still able to claim the promo and order.
Unfortunately, I am a day or two late as the delivery dates have moved significantly now. S24U Black was showing mid-Feb delivery dates.
Note for me the instant off promo didn't show up till just before noon the next day (ET), so keep checking if you don't see it the next morning!
Can you confirm if you were able to see the offer today?
Yes. It's makes sense to move to the esim unless you intend not to use the phone at all with the Fi sim and can leave it at home.
More so I don't want to risk being flagged inactive or to have to periodically put sim back in to seem active.
1) I signed up to Google Fi on the Flexible Plan and selected BYOD sim card (Fi will ship you a physical SIM for free).
2) I selected "assign me new number" since I didn't want to port my real number.
3) I then activated the eSIM to my current Pixel 6 Pro (but since the Pixel supports dual SIM, I kept calls/text/data assigned to my current cell service carrier).
4) I waited four days but the 120-day promo was not showing up for me.
5) On 1/23, I decided to try the pre-ordered trick, so I pre-ordered the base S24 phone with the 24-month promo.
6) Within about 15 mins, it showed up on my "Orders" screen (which for some reason is under store.google.com/orderhistory)
7) I immediately cancelled this order.
8) One day later, on 1/24, I saw the S24 120-day promo show up on fi.google.com.
6) Within about 15 mins, it showed up on my "Orders" screen (which for some reason is under store.google.com/orderhistory)

I have been getting the same Fi deal (s23, s22) and I always keep the psim in the phone and just transfer my regular carrier line (Mint, Tmobile, Tello... or whatever) and use esim
But now I'm ringing my hands over whether I should wait until my bill is finalized before pulling the trigger. I recall reading some earlier posts which seemed to indicate that it could cause you problems if you don't.
Meanwhile the phone I ordered from Samsung.com has just shipped and is arriving 1/26. I paid a total of $1,025 for it including tax so getting the phone through Google Fi would be a huge savings for me. But now I will have to send that one back and deal with all the worrying that involves (yes, I'm a worrier by nature).

Because I have to occasionally move my other carriers sim to activate other phones temporarily. Much easier to do with psim vs having to contact csr to move esim (on verizon)
