I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

If I am not mistaken, Spectrum doesn't accept in-store trade-ins, which is the reason why they now use a 3rd party for that type of work.
They do allow in-store trade in. You get instant trade in credit and only have to pay the discounted price. Tax is dependent on state, but some stores tax you based on the discounted price rather than MSRP.

Biggest problem is usually stock. Most stores carry only a few of each model and ones with promotions like these tend to sell out really fast.

I believe most is only using them to get the S24 and then take it somewhere else, if paying in full.
I've been using them for over 6 months. While I do like their promotions, 2 lines for $30 is not a bad deal at all and my coverage is pretty good too.

Thank you. I'll try the local store. Do they check if i am their internet user in store? They ask for SSN to check?

Yes, go to Fedex website and they'll tell u where to go.
Yeah, FedEx wants me to drive 30 miles to their sorting hub, but I have a local FedEx store 5 miles away and on my way home from work, trying to figure out how to get FedEx driver to drop the phones off at local FedEx store.

But Spectrum uses FedEx for delivery new phones.
It required in person signature for my phone when it came.

A signature is required. I missed Fedex 3 times last time with pixel 8 pro. they ring the bell 3 seconds and hard to hear from 2nd floor
For me, FedEx on Friday claimed they attempted delivery but no one available. My mom was home at day long on Friday, and I checked the Ring doorbell, not one FedEx person at the door for the whole Friday. The FedEx delivery person seems can do whatever they want they fit their run, last time they left the package at the door for Pixel 8 Pro and he signed for the package, glad it was still ther when I picked it up.

So i activated my s24 by swapping sim from current phone to S24 and kept it for a day, can i switch back to my old phone and would i still be able to request unlock after 60 days?
(spectrum account shows s24 activated and current phone, guess it will change to old phone once i switch)

So I plan to get a new number with spectrum paying for the 2/3 months of service and then cancel.

However during these few months, I would like to put in my tmobile sim card to enable dual sim. Does anyone know if this would work while the phone is yet to be unlocked?

For the S23 & Pixel 8 promos, I called them to unlock my devices on Day 61 & decided to ride out that third month/billing cycle ($14/mo by-the-gig plan) just to not raise any suspicion of my intentions to dip out on them all along. I just want the phones & down to ride out 3 months/billing cycles of paid service to get em, without getting my Spectrum account flagged for acquiring (and peddling) phones on the cheap, of course. I did the same shit for S23, Pixel 8 and now S24. Lol
Hey during the 3months duration, were you able to use another carrier sim on the phone?

The internet question is actually the first thing they ask everyone at my local store.

You need identification (like driver license) so they know you're the account owner. If you're not the account owner, they ask to bring the account owner in order to do the deals. I've seen it happen in the store.

If it works with your T-mobile sim then you dont need unlock. Just common sense.

You can try. Depends on the person working there. You might get away with just inputting the SSN of the account owner.

My local store is pretty strict so YMMV. They refuse to help anyone that doesn't have Spectrum Internet so that's why they always ask that first.
