I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Can anyone share the total cost when trading in a S22 ultra with Spectrum?
I put in my preorder today with Samsung, but not sure if it worth it to upgrade. Almost $700 with tax to upgrade my S22 ultra. Below is the breakdown of my Samsung order.

Subtotal $592.49
Shipping $0.00
Taxes $108.40
Reward Points -$3.60
Total Savings $1,097.43
Promo Code - EUREK24 $33.74
Promo Code - LJQBJUBEFM $25.00
Bundle Discount $126.22
Military Savings $46.87
Promotional Discount(s) $120.00
TradeIn Discount(s) $650.00
Total $697.29
I think using EDU discounts is better than a Military discount.

Samsung use FEDEX. Fedex employees steal phones all the time.

Spectrum use USPS. A lot safer.
But Spectrum uses FedEx for delivery new phones.

YES they steal trade-in phones. They removed the phone and re-seal the box.
Last time I got an empty box from FedEx with my google purchase. I checked box everywhere and it didn't seem opened then resealed. Contacted google luckily they reshipped. But why the empty box?it is still secrecy.

Do you receive a $700, or is a credit applied to your spectrum account?

Read the wiki and stop asking the same question over and over.

In order to unlock it after 60 days, do I need to power on the phone? I would like to wait the 60 days and sell the phone as brand new and unlocked.
It don't work that way flipper.

I already see my credit on my account for 778.32 not sure how, I was supposed to get $719, looks like they refunded tax too. am in Texas. my phone reached Spectrum on 20th. So effectively I got it for $80+tax by trading in Galaxy A32 5G. Awesome deal, not including monthly plan

we were talking about trade-in device. not new phone. Your case could be just warehouse shipping error.

Yeah someone mentioned earlier TX is one of the states that refunds the taxes. Unfortunately I don't think they refund the tax in California.

Got my first credit back, $723, no tax refund in Michigan either, as expected.

Good to hear. Any idea if we can upgrade the same line again with another trade in? Or is it one trade in per line per year?

I already ordered and received one phone under this deal. Trade in phone has been mailed. I would now like to get a second phone. My question (to which I was unable to find a clear answer in the wiki or by searching this thread): I have the lowest $14 1Gb plan at this time. When I place the new order, can I just add the new phone to this plan (if so, how is this done?)? Alternatively, do I need to pick a new $14 1GB additional plan? I do not need much data, so 1Gb plan would be fine even for both phones combined. So if I can pay $14 (or $20 after this month) for both the phones, that will be great. If not, I will take two separate plans which will cost $28 (or $40 after this month). Spectrum will not be my long term mobile provider (already have full year plan with another provider). Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Pulled trigger and was checking out when I got to delivery info page. Phone will only be delivered to address of internet service. That is my mom's place across the country. I pay her spectrum bill. Wish they would ship to the billing address too. Understand the fraud issue but my billing address has been on record as long as my mom has been a customer.

Could have it sent to my mom, resend it to me. But I'm afraid of introducing so many ways for things to go wrong. My mom has also said delivery theft happens in her building too. Oh well, sticking with the old phone for now.
