I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

You can reuse the box they send you the s24 in, it already has the label on the box.
True, although I have kept the box the S24 was shipped in because I might end up returning it. My trade in still not showing up as delivered to Assurant after many days sitting at the destination USPS facility and it is almost end of 14 day return period. Still just sitting there with last update at Coppell for many days. Probably going to end up returning the S24 and have them cancel and return my trade in if they are not able to process it within the 14 day return window. They are not even marking it as received and just letting it sit there showing as unprocessed by USPS even though it is at the destination. Unacceptable.

I am looking into getting insurance for my phone. I usually don't have phone insurance because I usually have a refurbished phone and it's not worth it. Anyway, anyone have any experience with the Allstate (Square Trade) service or would I be better off with Spectrum or Samsung coverage? Thanks
Personally, I'd recommend Samsung Care+.

Obviously those of us stating that our device has not been received also have not had any updates on the Spectrum site either. You get an e-mail notification if your device is being assessed. Mine is showing as undelivered (sitting in Coppell of many days now) and is showing as in transit on Assurant website. Obviously if mine was showing as undelivered by USPS but assessed by Assurant I would not be complaining. The issue is that there is a 14 day return window only and people are reporting issues with trade ins. I have zero interest in purchasing a S24 at full price and the trade in is the only thing that makes this deal worth doing. If there is no guarantee of the trade in being honored then some of us are not going to gamble outside the return window when USPS and Assurant are not marking packages are delivered/received and we are just to blindly trust that one day it will magically be processed and accepted.

Also, USPS is required to perform delivery scans. If this facility is not doing that this then it should be reported to the Inspector General. It is not acceptable for USPS and Assurant to deceive customers by not properly reporting delivery/acceptance of packages. Internally at USPS, not processing delivery scans will result in thousands of packages showing as being lost by USPS. This is why people who have been contacting USPS are being told that their package is likely lost and they will need to file lost package reports. Then Assurant/Spectrum also claims that they did not receive the package because USPS does not scan it as delivered and then everything falls on the customer as USPS/Assurant/Spectrum all claim there is nothing else they can do even though the package was delivered.

Wow, so this is not sounding good for Moto G Play devices bought online or in-store that weren't scanned. I sent one trade in already and haven't sent the other yet.

I would say in your case, try contacting spectrum support and state your concern and asked that your return windows to be extended due to xyz reasons and see it goes from there. If they refuse, threaten to return.

Yes, that is my plan. I am going to call at the 13 day mark (which is very soon). Hopefully get a satisfactory answer and if still nothing by day 14 then initiate the return. The Spectrum website does say there is 45 days for them to receive device for trade ins with preordered devices, but with people reporting some trade ins getting rejected obviously I do not want to gamble with trade in being rejected. I would have just waited and done it in store. I only did it online because of the free memory upgrade and fact that I did not have any issues with my previous trade in. This experience has been completely different in terms of USPS/Assurant. I would have never done this if I had known USPS would just not process delivery at the destination for this many days, and I was unaware that they could even legally withhold delivery and delivery scans as technically it is a form of fraud/theft.

On Wednesday I went in and upgraded my daughter from her S22 to an S24. I traded in an old A12 I had lying around. Got $705 for that.

On Thursday I went back and upgraded our 'home' phone (just a line a to keep the number we've had for 30+ years and give us an extra gig of shared date) from a Pixel 4a to an S24. I traded in my daughter's old S22 and it was an even swap.

My wife has an iPhone Mini she doesn't want to give up as she wants to stay Apple and wants a small phone. I have a Pixel 7 Pro that I still owe a balance on and plan to upgrade to the 9 Pro in the fall so I have no other lines to upgrade. I read somewhere in the thread that you could upgrade the same line multiple times. Is that correct? I was thinking I could trade in the Pixel 4a for another S24 by upgrading my home line again. I did go back to the store Friday and asked about that and they said I couldn't do that but they didn't actually try in the system and just seemed like they were making an assumption versus knowing if that was the actual case. Is this something I should be able to do?
You can do it if you don't care about unlocking.

Great, thanks. Since all the phones would be paid off my plan would be to unlock the newest S24 that would become my home line after 60 days. At that point I could move my home line number to the other S24 and then unlock that one after 60 days. Would that be allowed?

I was expecting this from you.. logically there shouldn't have any issues. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I went to the store today , traded in moto g 5g plus, trade in credit 727.
Got s24, 800-727 = 73+ (tax on 73) and activation fees 20 , total otd 99.

I was also checking for online order my s24 ultra trade in , I have sent at&t moto g play 2023, just asked them to check if they will accept for trade in, however they said that it's pending payment, its a prepaid locked phone, anyone know why it says pending payment? because its locked?

I did not activate with at&t though, I just used my cricket sim, made one call and reset it, could that be the issue?

I went to Walmart and explained that I am not able to activate the phone because it was not scanned properly. Asked them to rescan the barcode on the phone package (i already mailed the phone to spectrum). She first processed return for the item and re scanned as a new purchase. After this, now I am able to get past activation step after putting in IMEI # on the straight talk activation page. Hoping to get the tradein successfully. Fingers crossed. you all may try this option.

Purchased some Moto g plays in store at Walmart. They scanned them and I ran them through the setup and the trade in is $711. They came with SIM cards in them. Should I leave the sims in them or remove them?
