I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Hi Guys, my preorders got cancelled without notice. I called the number in the email which took me to fraud detection, they still asked so many public data questions and then finally said they can't get the cancelled order and I should order again. What is going on?

update 1: they are giving all weird responses such as if order is not shipped in 5 days it is liable to get cancelled. and immediately after call my other preorder also got cancelled. in the afternoon I got an email that my order was delayed. I shared DL on their website and they still cancelled it.
Did you receive an email having subject as "Action Needed on Your Recent Order" after you placed an order?
If so, you are supposed to verify within 4 days.

They may cancel your order if you haven't actioned as above.

Am I the only one who's unhappy with the $19.99 plan price even though my order confirmation email reflects the original $14.00. Has anyone made any progress or push back with Spectrum? They did not budge at all with me.
They literally announced quite in advance that plan prices going up for everyone. You could see that banner even when you select the plan. Nothing to be sad about it, you may pay extra $10 in two months span before you close the lines.

Assurant just emailed me stating they reduced my trade in credit to $0 due do "Anti-Theft". I don't even know what that means. I had sent them the Walmart Moto G phone. Does this mean we are completed screwed out of the $700 spectrum credit? No recourse?
Same boat here - though I got my phone elsewhere.

I am going to request return of the S24 so at least won't be down by $700. You can get the trade-in device back from Assurant when you decline the trade-in. Some other SDers suggest possibly going back instore Spectrum to start a new purchase/trade-in.

Anyone have any luck with this process?

- Went to Walmart #1. They acted like it was impossible that I got a phone without it being scanned in. Wouldn't help.
- Went to Walmart #2. They were aware of this possibility but were unable/unwilling to help unless I had the phone in hand to return. (i had the box and everything else, but this wasn't enough)
- Called Walmart.com - They couldn't/wouldn't help.
- Called StraightTalk. They told me to return the phone at Walmart and have it rescanned.
I couldn't get a "ticket number" from anyone. Am I calling the right place? I bought the StraightTalk Moto 4 from Walmart.

So here I am, in phone hell, thanks to Walmart's incompetence. Can't return the phone. Can't get the phones back from Assurant. Is it possible to send another device to Assurant? Anyone have luck with StraightTalk? Any way out of this hell at all?
Send email to [email protected] with following details:
1. Walmart receipt
2. Photo of back of the box showing activation barcode 1
3. Photo of IMEI on the box, usually on its bottom, it also has barcode 2.

There is no need to contact straight talk customer service. I sent email directly to above address and they replied back in 3 business days fixing the issue.

Maybe there is another way but...
I was getting a rejection after entering the IMEI on carrier's activation page. So if it lets you go the next step without an error it should be OK. https://www.straighttalk.com/activation

My trade-in was delivered to Assurant on 2/8 and was supposed to be assessed by 2/10. I just got an email (2/13) that my trade-in was accepted. Thought I would post this incase someone is/was in the same boat as hoping this would still get approved. I sent in one of Moto G Play 2023 phones from Walmart. The delay helped me get the phone activated through Straightalk support since Walmart.com didn't scan the second bar code. I still have one more trade-in that is supposed to arrive at Assurant today... We will see.
I think they just use a formula, and add two days to whatever the delivery date is to provide an estimate when they think it should be assessed. Clearly that's a very optimistic estimate they provided, since it took nearly 3x as long to assess.

Mine was delivered on 2/9, and was supposed to be assessed on 2/11. However, as of today (2/13) I have not yet received credit.

Hopefully if your post is any indication, my phone should be assessed by tomorrow.

Since you already got the rejection email by Assurant, there's no pt in jumping through more hoops with Walmart or ST. Demand a return of your trade in devices from Assurant and start a returns process on the new phones with Specturm (if still within 14 day window). If unsuccessful on either, escalate and contact FCC/State AG if you so desire. Unfortunately, this whole mail in process has so many potential breaks in the chain that I'll never do another mail in trade again. Gonna stick with in store trades in the future.

completely off the topic but it may help for those on by the gig, price has gone up to 19.99 and it will be by your next billing cycle so if someone has billing cycle today - do check with spectrum and take action

Personally, I've had nothing but issues trying to do this in store. Maybe it's just my local stores, but I went to two different ones and the employees there were incredibly incompetent. They couldn't figure out how to get their system to work so I ended up leaving without any phones and just doing it myself online. One of them asked "why don't you just do it online?" lol. I told her because then I don't get the credit instantly, potential shipping issues, etc and she didn't seem to get it
