I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Personally, I've had nothing but issues trying to do this in store. Maybe it's just my local stores, but I went to two different ones and the employees there were incredibly incompetent. They couldn't figure out how to get their system to work so I ended up leaving without any phones and just doing it myself online. One of them asked "why don't you just do it online?" lol. I told her because then I don't get the credit instantly, potential shipping issues, etc and she didn't seem to get it
don't take their bait online is even more messy - your trade-in will be stuck and you are getting the same deal now . there is no reason for them to not be able to do it in store if they have inventory demand to talk to the store manager. politely Smilie

Yeah, I talked to multiple people and made multiple trips to the store. I finally gave up on the in store option. Maybe my trade ins will take longer, but I wasn't getting anywhere in store. Seems like most people's mail ins are being processed, just taking longer than expected

This is my first time experience doing trade-in the spectrum and tbh I'm quite impressed with their whole process and update overall (for my other trade-in) that did not have an issue.

HOWEVER, if there is an issue as other described with reject reason that is totally not matching what you have sent in. I think you are mostly going to be lost out in the trade-in despite efforts put it to provide supporting details.

I've done tons of trade-in in the past with Samsung or TMobile and even with issues with such, the carrier support staff usually would help resolve/approve the request after reviewing your attached vid/image.

Overall, I would totally not do mail in anymore if I were given the choice again.

I've done many trade-ins with Samsung and T-Mobile without a hitch, but my first time dealing with Spectrum is a nightmare.

First I was told by Assurant, that the IMEI matched but the make/model was wrong. I asked them to re-check the phone, and they sent me a screenshot of their warehouse software, that showed what the receiving employee had typed in. When I requested them to send a picture of the phone with the IMEI displayed, they then changed their tune and said now the IMEI doesn't match and they are escalating the ticket to their management team. I suspect they found that they made an error, but won't admit it outright.

While Assurant is a mess, Spectrum Mobile support is even worse. Their support staff has no ability to resolve anything. Anyone thinking of staying with Spectrum Mobile after their phone is unlocked, save yourself the headache.

completely off the topic but it may help for those on by the gig, price has gone up to 19.99 and it will be by your next billing cycle so if someone has billing cycle today - do check with spectrum and take action
What action? you mean some of us who signed up in Jan pre launch offer get it for $15 until we close the line? In my case it has been bumped to $20 for Feb cycle

They already added ultra. Looks like they don't want to add s24 and s24+ to list the until $700 promo is done.

So what action are you taking? Cancel the account and don't bother phone unlocking?

I think they just use a formula, and add two days to whatever the delivery date is to provide an estimate when they think it should be assessed. Clearly that's a very optimistic estimate they provided, since it took nearly 3x as long to assess.

Mine was delivered on 2/9, and was supposed to be assessed on 2/11. However, as of today (2/13) I have not yet received credit.

Hopefully if your post is any indication, my phone should be assessed by tomorrow.
Mine was delivered on 02/02. Supposed to be assessed by 02/04. But still nothing.

They put all phones in a bucket and pick it up randomly lol. My both phones were delivered the same day but one is assessed and other is not.

Ordered 1/22, phone received 1/30, trade in dropped off at USPS on 2/1, they received 2/5, status on spectrumtradein showed received 2/5 and should be assessed 2/7.
Then finally got the email on 2/13 about them receiving the device and says I got the trade in credit. Trade in Status updated to show "received at warehouse 2/12 and assessed by 2/14".

From E-mail:
Good news! We've received your device and inspected it. You'll be receiving a Trade-In Credit of $58.00 for your device. In addition to your Trade-In amount, you also qualify for the Trade-In Promotion, which brings your total to $758.00.
Device and Offer Details
Make: Apple
Model: IPHONE XR 64GB - GENERIC
IMEI: xxxxxxxx
Trade-In Credit: $58.00
Trade-In Promotion: $700.00
Total: $758.00
What's next?

You'll receive your Trade-In Credit. If you financed your new device, your credit will be applied evenly over the remaining installments of your device payment plan.* If you paid for your new device in full, the total credit for the confirmed value of your trade in, including any applicable promotions, will be applied in the next two billing cycles. If you don't receive your trade-in refund/credit within two billing cycles, give us a call at 1-833-224-6603. Have your offer number available.
