how did you unlock those non-activated phones?
just call/chat them and provide them the phones' IMEI#?

when doing the upgrade in stores, they do activate the phones right there, and made some test calls, so those phones would be activated for a day or two at least.
thanks again. I am thinking to do a final trade in for my 2 lines but just trading in 2 cheap phones for 2xs24 or S24+
I sent two Moto G play phones in almost a month ago. THEY STILL have them as I've been trying to get them to re-examine the phones. Its been a week and I keep getting the run-around.
I'm not sure about this SIM or no SIM. My cousin bought the Moto G play from Walmart (in-person) and it was traded and credited normally. He didn't activate, turn it on, put in a SIM or do anything. Just sent it in to Assurant. I think mine were rejected because Walmart didn't scan them out properly since I bought them online.
My phones seem to be fixed now since Tracfone did something on their end, but Assurant still hasn't re-checked. So I'm in limbo and time is running out! I assume there isn't a phone number we can call?
I was within my return window for Spectrum when I got the first denial. So I went ahead an requested a return for both S24 to be safe since I thought both would be denied. I reached out to assurant and only got a generic response. I request the denied Moto G Play to be return, took about a little over a week for it arrive. I held off on returning the S24 until the assement for the second phone came through which was accepted. The trade in credit appeared about 3 days later and I called the spectrum to cancel the return for phone that had the trade in accepted, no issue.
I returned the denied one and already got my refund minus the restocking fee, and they ended up not refunding the activation fee or the plan line fee so about a $100 loss their.
I got back the denied straight talk Moto g play and purchased a $1 Tracphone sim kit from Target online for instore pickup, its cheaper than paying it instore. Was able to due the initial setup again, except this time did not factory reset the phone. Went to spectrum and traded in with no problem.

I've not been lucky at all, and despite Straightalk/tracfone fixing the anti-theft, Assurant hasn't rechecked and I don't think they will at this point. Already way past my 15 days. I reach out to Spectrum and they say "the terms were clearly laid out and you agreed."

Did you keep the fedex receipt for the return or see if you can find the tracking # of the return label to see if it had arrived at assurant. I would email assurant asking for status and provide the tracking and info.
