I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.
I test with the following tiv samsung phones:

A14 $714
A54 $770
S23fe $880
S23+ $994
Trade in my Google Pixel 6A for $757 that I originally got from metro for $50 years ago. Makes this a true slickdeal 🫡

Just to update my case status for reference. I haven't done anything prior to this conversation to the supervisor regards to my order being cancelled and I even got an email afterward saying my order is cancelled. Now out of the blue today, I received an order confirmation of my order being shipped, and had a pending charge on my CC. Now, I wonder how the system is going to credit my trade in promo credit given that normally, they charge my device first, then once they get my trade in and approves it, the credit should reflect in couple days. Now, since they already approved the trade in credit back in 2/7 (never got the credits back to my account). Wonder if this will make it difficult to get instant credit, else I'm just going to return the device unopen and eat the lost of the trade in which I had originally planned.

TLDR: Pre-Ordered 1/29, shipped trade in (inspected and approved), phone never shipped till today 2/28/24, spoke to rep/supervisor around middle of 2/20 ish saying order somehow got cancelled. Now the order is being shipped out of the blue. Spectrum system is sh*t in terms of communicating with each other, no one know what is going on and just throw stories to cover their assess.
Is it the same order number? On the Spectrum website you should be able to click the order and see if the tradein is attached. Hope it works out for you.

Also just fyi I recently asked Spectrum if you return device unopened do you get full refund without restocking fee and they said yes. They said basically everybody is charged restocking fee but if the item is brand new and still sealed then when Assurant assesses the return then they also refund the restocking fee. So of course dealing with Assurant who knows how they might screw things up but I was told that is how it works with online returns. So keeping device sealed can have benefit if doing a return.

Yep, that's the first thing I check if the order number was the same on the previous order; Same order number with the trade in details on website. I should have a case since the trade in detail page shows my promo credit and all. So hopefully it won't be difficult to get the promo credits back after.

Traded my wife Pixel 7pro to S24+ in-store yesterday. It was an scheduled appointment set the day before (no s24+ in stock), as I came at 7:20pm this lady was not happy when I said I want to add a line and trade my phone, she told me that there is no enough time to do all that in 30min before closing and needs 1-2hrs to do all that. I told her that I have an appointment and pointed the guy who set my appointment, I end up to that guy who just finished w another customer.

Both of them seems like doesn't wanna help me at all. did all the trade-in process and adding a line but this fool put my trade in credit to a 36 months credit without asking me if I want to pay the rest of the phone and telling me they cant reverse it and they cant cancel it because my old phone was in their system already as a traded device.

Im heated! went home and call spectrum right away, I was able to pay off the device and got a confirmation the my trade-in credit will hit my account in full amount. made another call after 2hrs when I saw my credit is on my account, I asked the agent to transfer all credit to my card on file. I got my money back today! -

all 3 my trade-in went smooth except this last one but overall its great deal!!
Pixel8pro to S24 ultra (via pre-order mail)
S9+ to S24 (instore)
S24 to S24+ (instore)
Pixel7pro to S24+ (instore)

If your order number matches and it shows the linked tradein and the tradein has been processed then hopefully it will appear on your account by tomorrow if your order is now complete. You could potentially even call and ask now if the order is complete to see if the tradein credit is on the account now.

Data point regarding revised trade in:

Had no issues last year doing online order and mail in with Assurant for upgrade to S23.

Had no issues placing and receiving online order this year for S24. Mailed tradein to Assurant and was received by Assurant after about a week. Processed next day. Received notice from Assurant for revised trade in with lower storage. Correct device but wrong storage.

E-mailed Assurant same day. Next day received response that they would forward inquiry to warehouse. No response for 24 hours. Sent follow-up e-mail. No response for 24 hours. Sent another follow-up e-mail. No response for 24 hours.

Decided to just accept the revised offer that afternoon because return window for Spectrum was closing and wanted to make sure credit processed. Accepted offer on website. Credit did not appear on my account next day. Called and they said no credit on account yet. Today credit appeared on account. Called Spectrum for credit refund and first agent for some reason said had to wait 1-2 billing cycles. Called back and second agent sent refund.

Might continue to pursue the difference or file BBB complaint. Will see how I feel later if it is worth the headache.

TLDR: Assurant is a terrible company with regards to properly processing trade ins and offers inadequate customer service to resolve incorrect assessments within Spectrum return timeframe. Please be careful sending any higher storage models of devices to Assurant unless you are prepared for them to falsely claim lower storage model. That being said, if you accept their revised offer on the website the credit processed within a couple of days.

I think the consensus is just to let it be and it should be fine. Ironically the only people who seem to be reporting issues with "wrong IMEI" from Assurant is for reasons completely unrelated to the IMEI. That being said if you just placed the order and have not sent in the trade in you then you could try to just cancel everything and try again. But if you have already shipped then might as well just let it play out at this point.

I am in the same boat as you. No assessment after they received my phone on 2/15. Can you share the Assurant email you used? I tried calling but was not able to get through without a claim number. Thx.

Spectrum received one of my trade-in devices on 2/2 and was supposed to be reviewed by 2/6. I sent an email asking status after that and was told to wait 10-15 days. I sent another email after 15 days and was told the person would contact the warehouse. After a few more days, I contacted back again, stating it had not been resolved, and Assurant agent said they would send me a check for the check.

Just adding here, because I have not read anyone having this happen yet.

During the pixel 8 Pro promo, they screwed up my trade in and I went via the State attorney general's office and got my credit and they sent me a check for the full amount.

It was quick in 3-4 days

They sent you the full amount including the Spectrum promo ($700) or just the trade in value?

Interesting, I thought the additional $700 credit was issued by Spectrum. I wonder if Assurant issues it all and Spectrum reimburses Assurant the promotional amount.
