I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile. They are an MVNO on Verizon towers and when the network is congested, you have little to no connection because your priority is so low. There is also no upgrade option for a prioritized connection. I dropped them after 1 month.

I was going to, but the Google wanted to charge me $20 and I don't know any other cheap services to port out to. Oh well.. I'll give them a call again tomorrow if it still works.. Should've asked for confirmation number. dang it.
Usually they don't cancel the service on the spot. It's paid for for a whole month, so it'll end after you billing days are up.
It is normal it still shows on the app even it got cancelled.
I did have an cancelation email sent to me when I asked to cancel the service and email came right away while I was still on the phone

How were some able to unlock more than one phone on the same line? I brought 4 phones on 2 lines, all activated in Jan/Feb. Spectrum unlocked two in April, and then I switched both lines to the other two locked ones. When I asked them to unlock they said phone has to be in active service for 60 days, so activated before 60 days didn't count.

Is Spectrum port out self-service? Or did you have to call in or chat to get the transfer pin?

I did not receive any e-mail at the time of call, so I just called again today just to confirm that the service is cancelled. They told me that it will be cancelled at the end of this billing cycle (June 1st,) just like what you said. Still no e-mail though. I was going to give the phone to my family today, but I guess I'll need to wait a little longer.

After 4 months of back and for with assurant I got my check in the mail for $851. I am glad it's sorted, but don't think I will be doing mail in trade in the future, what a nightmare.

What was the situation that held up the credit? How long did you have to wait for the check once approved?

It seems like they lost the phone or at least lost track of it once it arrived in their warehouse. The final status update on the website was "Delivered. Your device was delivered at our warehouse on 02/04/2024. It should be assessed by 02/11/2024."

It still took weeks after the rep told me I'd be getting a check before they actually mailed it out.

Got all 4 devices unlocked on 2 active lines. The 2 lines I had were on the B1G1 Unlimited promotion for $30/mth for 12 months. The way billing works on the back end is one line is charged the full $30/mth, and the other line receive full credit, making it $0. I found out that you can actually cancel the full priced line and still keep the promotion on the free line. So I'll keep the free line for the remainder of the year and use it for future trade in promos.

These guys have so many loopholes and leaks in their system that I can't believe they are running a multi-billion $ enterprise.
I was told the same and so kept the free line open, but then just a few mins back I received a new bill of $30. How did it go for you?
