Built one of these about a month ago, my system came with the wifi antennas.

What you will need:

-Power Supply Unit (PSU) for ATX or SFX or SFXL will work
-120mm fan - I suggest a static pressure model
-Case
-DDR5 SODIMM (laptop memory) 4800 or 5200 will work

Notes:

This board does NOT have a USB type E header. Aka you will technically not be able to use a PC case with USB-C ports on the case itself.

Be sure you grab the BIOS update as well. The BIOS update tooling only seems to work on Windows, there is no currently way to flash it from a USB drive I am aware of.

M.2 Drive without a attached heatsink

I bult this in a ITX case which is the use case I suggest as your getting a low TDP = lower watts = less heat and be far more easy to air cool. Running this as my primary gaming system and it's a noticeable upgrade from my prior 5800x.

One last thing, because this is a laptop processor, it comes "delid" making for an even better cooling situation. I can maintain my CPU boost at a constant 5.1 ghz while maintaining a temp of ~70c-80c. I have not noticed any thermal throttling just by using a 120mm static pressure fan.

Minisforum could own the DIY NAS market if they tweaked one of these motherboards around multi-gig networking, M.2 slots, and an 8 drive SATA JBOD controller.

Ignore the people saying to buy windows keys from woot. There's multiple threads saying that they sell it as windows 7 and 8 keys

You got a better chance going on ebay and getting a working physical copy for around $40-50
Get it from Kinguin for $25 👌🏼

As far as mini itx goes, this is hard to beat, however, does it work with h1 case water cooler? Or any other standard CPU cooler?
This is a laptop CPU. It is integrated into the board itself so you can not technically remove the pre-installed heatsink. There are no mounting holes for AM5 coolers.

Are you using a discreet gpu or you're gaming on the 610M? 1080p?
I am using my 3080 FE card. No issues.

It is absolutely bizarre to me that Microsoft has not laid the hammer down on resale of corporate keys. Woot is owned by Amazon and is openly advertising them, but there is zero chance they are in compliance with the terms of the license
Because people that buy a copy of windows and install it on a pc themselves is a tiny market compared to the OEM installs and the corporate licenses where there are piracy bounties.

But if you already bought 5,000 licenses and sell 500 they do not care. They got their money from your company and they don't care about the tiny 1-user windows install base.

Why add a mini computer into a big case that you can get faster graphics cards and normal parts for? Such a bad idea... I am not getting micro PC part just so I can cover it up inside something that takes up a normal space. Horrible idea/design.
It is not a computer, just a mini-ITX form factor motherboard. And why you do so....lot of people have explained that in thread, you never gonna get the CPU+Motherboard+Cooler of this caliber at this price. The closest desktop counterpart of this 7745HX is Ryzen 7 7700 which costs over $300 alone.

So if we were to add a current gen Nvidia GPU to this (RTX 40x), would that preclude using a small form-factor case?

There are plenty mini-ITX cases which can support cards like a RTX 4090. Some examples are:
  • Lian Li Q58
  • Fractal Design Terra
  • Hyte Revolt 3
There are cheaper options as well if you want some mid-range cards, ZZEW A1P Mini-ITX Case for example.

This brand has been comming up a lot, they have a really interesting one with two 10gb SFP ports that will likely be what I use for my next firewall build, but for now (almost $900) just too expensive.

Waiting on it to come down to under $600

I think you're referring the MS-01. The barebone is just $539 right now and I have posted it here.

With their shipping speed and after-sales support? Absolutely not. If you have no money but infinite time to waste, maybe.

The near desktop equal to this would be:
~$300 Ryzen 77700
~$200 for a motherboard
~$100 for cooler

So $360 for all of those things vs ~$600 for the desktop parts seems like a decent deal given the proper use case. The onboard GPU may be crap but so what, that's why it has a PCI 5 socket. Throw in your own GPU. Even better since both GPUs can be active, you can take a bit of load off your dedicated GPU if you have other apps running.
put gpu in mini pc? link me a gpu which can put in mini pc please.

Because they don't give a shit about cheap keys. It's a win for them for people to just install windows in itself. In fact they probably promote these cheap keys because it makes people think they're getting a deal to what is in essence installing Spyware on your machine.

AM5 motherboards are pretty costly and even the basic B650 motherboards are near $180.
Are we talking if you're paying the tiny tax? If not, you can get some moderately small M-ATX boards for somewhere in the $130-150ish on sale.

It's got a 2.5G ethernet port and you could put a sata controller card in the PCIE slot.

Even cheaper cases can hold a 4090. Squeezed a 4090 in my nr200 ( which cost me only 10 bucks after rebate.).
