This is AMDs low end cpu they have out there. Aka Intel celeron equivalent and last I checked those things are half the performance of this
And on top of that to debunk any ideas about this being a recycled 2019 chip, it's on a smaller process node, made RECENTLY
This is a budget cpu that gives performance of an i7 4790k. That's amazing.
Perhaps you shouldn't toss your computer around so much...? Every brand has had a dud model or two in its lineup with specific issues, but to claim HP laptops have hinge issues spanning 4+ generations? Sorry, don't buy it.

The CPU is a 7520U, AKA Mendocino, a quad core with an architecture from 2019 (Zen 2). It's iGPU is a pathetic 2 CU.
This laptop can not play games, and will struggle with even heavy normal use. I'd avoid it as its E-waste when you can get vastly better laptops for $400+
