If you're thinking about zipair look at their fold-down flat business class it's a no thrill business class but it may be well worth it for such a long flight.

Thank you Serra you always post good stuff

i haven't checked biz class for this deal but it always correlate with the discounted flight of economy so i bet that'll be low too. for me, it's point a to point b and my temptation is really just to get to disneyland tokyo laugh out loud

a couple of our admins and staff recently went to several cities in asia (including tokyo), business class on singapore....like that's a bucket list trip i wish they'd invited me on. Lust

and thank you for the shout-out...i appreciate it Blush2

I flew to Japan in November with them, went with the lie flat seats, was a great experience, most comfortable plane ride I have ever had. Only thing I wasn't a big fan of is their counter at the airport opens a little late for my tastes. Both flying out and flying in, we ended up waiting about an hour for them to open their checkin counter. But we do admittedly play it very safe with arrival time for international flights.

Great experience back in Nov/Dec! Surprisingly roomy and seats recline enough for a budget airline. No food or water included with the base fare, so carry your own or purchase inflight, as they're very reasonably priced. The restrooms are unusually wide as well.

my experience in the past when looking for rates it seems like it generally runs about twice as much for business class as standard seating but there's no amenities there's no TV there is no food service everything has to be purchased separately at a reasonable cost that's how they keep their cost down so much zipair is owned by JAL

There are a lot of great YouTube videos about zip please take the time to watch them.

I have personally not flown on ZIPAIR yet but my next trip to Japan will be on zipair I've heard great things about them for the price

Argh. This is the flight deal I wanted and missed out on this back in October and was forced to get the United Airlines one for $657. The United Airlines one has a meal and check in bag (with a larger carry on and personal). ZipAir will really limit your personal and carry on total to 7kg only and you would need to pay for that in addition to the check in but the Amex offer will negate that and you could get a much much better meal by buying your food at the airport before boarding while also having in flight Wi-Fi and slightly better seat space than United.

i already took advantage of the amex off. have my flight booked for mid october. added the value bundle both ways and came out to $692 and it triggered another $15 statement credit so $677 RT from LA.
