Is this good? Any review on response time and contrast? I find buying Acer monitor is always much harder due to availability of information. Like on the official website, this monitor is 1ms response time:
https://www.acer.com/us-en/monito....HV1AA.301
Really don't know what the correct information is here.

this review isn't for this exact monitor but I can't find any evidence for it being much different, only a few people saying they are pretty much the same
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...up-pbmiipx
black uniformity is HORRIBLE in this review
motion is blurry but not terrible

life's short, buy this in stead if you want to game

Good monitor, lousy stand (no height adjustment or swivel).

Any noticeable difference between Displayport 1.2 and 1.4? As significant as HDMI 2.0 vs 2.1?

How is this for a home office setup? 90% text/email/powerpoint, etc, 10% gaming?

Had this monitor. Its good but 2 things I don't like: 1. Not automatic switching to HDR mode when I play games and 2. I hate the control button (Located behind monitor)

Using a review of different model and making assumptions about this monitor is not a good idea. Models vary a lot, the VG271U M3bmiipx and the VG271UP Pbmiipx probably have entirely different panels with different pros and cons. You'll see this with any monitor manufacturer, but especially with Acer.

For example, on the VG271UP Pbmiipx that review is critical of the blacks because the monitor is supposed to have HDR 400. The VG271U M3bmiipx, on the other hand, does not have an HDR spec at all, so I would expect blacks to be....even worse, honestly.

much worse idea to assume you're all set 👍

you're the saying 'probably', I'm saying there's no reason to assume because there's no evidence. I just want people to know what they're buying, so they doon't end up staring into the worst backlight glow you could ever see.

make sure the this monitor is better than the review above folks! I couldn't find any evidence only 2 people confidently saying they were the same.

.....what? They're not the same monitor. They clearly have different hardware, that's easy to see because one panel is HDR and one isn't. And if you're expecting "inky blacks" from an IPS monitor that isn't even HDR rated, I have bad news for you.

use of hdr doesn't imply different panel with different backlighting, this monitor has no reviews out there, which usually isn't a good sign so I just wouldn't trust it. When companies make something good they make it known.
