Product Details:
  • Revolutionary Processor: Faster. Smoother. Better. The powerful new GP2 engine changes the game—snappy performance, responsive touch controls and double the frame rate for amazingly smooth footage. Designed specifically for the demanding nature of the GoPro, the GP2 "system on a chip" is by far our fastest ever.
  • High-Res Photos + Videos, High Frame Rate: Step up to the sharpest-shooting GoPro ever. Upgraded to incredible 27MP photos and 5.3K video resolution at 60fps, HERO11 offers double the frame rate for amazingly smooth motion. Plus, there's 8x slo-mo at 2.7K and you can pause videos and grab 15.8MP still photos from 5.3K video that look amazing.
  • Unbelievable Image Quality: Capture jaw-dropping 5.3K video with 91% more resolution than 4K and an incredible 665% more than 1080p. HERO11 Black captures finer detail, more realistic textures and better contrast than any HERO camera before it—even in low light. A new water-shedding hydrophobic lens cover that repels water and helps eliminate lens flare and other artifacts makes your photos and videos even more stunning.
  • HyperSmooth 5.0: HyperSmooth has never been smoother, and it's easy to dial in the best stabilization at all times. Plus, get even better low-light performance and horizon leveling with a higher tilt limit, so your footage looks perfectly straight when you want it.
  • New Front Screen + Performance Enhancements: Framing your shots for vlogging and selfies is better than ever with a high-quality front LCD screen with a smoother frame rate and crisp detail. Touch controls are snappy too, so the shutter is more responsive. Live streaming with HERO11 Black looks better than ever, and webcam functions are easy and seamless.
  • Rugged and Waterproof to 33ft: Completely waterproof and tougher than ever, HERO11 Black is versatile enough for any adventure. Its rugged build quality can take a beating and keep going, whether you're ripping through mud, snow or water (to depths of 33ft). The durable and scratch-resistant lens cover adds even more protection, and can be easily replaced if needed.
  • Webcam + Live Streaming: Use your GoPro as the hottest webcam in the game. This versatile functionality carries over to live streaming, where your shots look incredibly stable as you vlog your next activity with buttery HyperSmooth stabilization and sharp resolution.
  • Power Tools: Nail the shot the easiest way, with Power Tools like LiveBurst to record 1.5 seconds before and after your shot. And even if you press the shutter too late, HindSight captures up to 30 seconds of footage before you start recording—to never miss a moment. There are also scheduled and duration captures modes, so you can set it and forget it.
  • Presets: Make things super simple—just pick a Preset for any situation. HERO11 Black comes ready-to-rock with Standard, Activity, and Cinematic modes. You can even create custom presets for quick access to your favorite settings.
  • Built-in Mounting: Swapping mounts takes just seconds, thanks to built-in folding fingers. No frame needed—just open, connect and go. Better yet, every awesome accessory for HERO10 Black is compatible with HERO11 Black.

Professional action videographer and drone pilot here. Just reminding all of GoPro's horrid tendency to overheat, freeze, and ruin once in a lifetime shots. Malfunctioning GoPros have cost me clients and thousands of dollars. I wouldn't trust a GoPro in my business, let alone for treasured personal memories.
The DJI Action 3 and 4 just had a price drop and are infinitely more reliable. I have thousands of recorded hours on four different DJI Action 3s without a single problem. When I used GoPro, the failure rate was about 15% of all shots taken.
There are few greater disappointments than taking off with an FPV drone, nailing a highly choreographed, dangerous action shot, landing, and seeing that the GoPro has frozen.
I can't speak for other or newer models, but I have a hero 8 black from a few generations back and it's been flawless with hundreds of hours of recording in various environments - dusty, humid, snowy/sub-zero, and fully underwater (ocean / saltwater without a case) without any quality or heating issues. Only issue has been minimal connectivity challenges with Bluetooth, but that's been very infrequent. I've had no problem trusting my unit for my wedding and two others, my honeymoon, etc.
I have a GoPro hero 7 black and it has froze so many times especially during crucial filming. I've lost a lot of travel videos, when I went back and looked the videos over the screen was just black. Whenever I've taken the GoPro snowboarding it would keep shutting down and resetting and freezing up. I'm done with GoPro, going to move to the DJI.

Are you from China? My GoPro has been flawless with hundreds of hours recording.

I have had mine overheat while filming indoors. If you're riding a motorcycle and it's getting plenty of cooling, you probably have better results than those using for an hour or more in non-moving situations.

I use my cameras for recording fishing videos. Are the DJI's able to run for hours in the sun without dying due to heat?
depends on settings. everything is going to overheat before the battery dies when it's hot out and there is no air movement and you've got it on 4k/60...

Very true, and what ever new edition" the over heating and freezing is more apparent. The best one for me" till this day is the GoPro 5 & 6 models .

Just want to say I like this generation since it's the last one to have GPS which is important to me. I have a hero 10 and a hero 11 and would never give them up for a hero 12

Isn't that dependent on the quality that you're recording? If recording 4k or higher, I notice it'll overheat over time. If I record at 1080, I don't have any issues.

If that's the case it shouldn't be a feature on the camera.
