The DJI Action 3 and 4 just had a price drop and are infinitely more reliable. I have thousands of recorded hours on four different DJI Action 3s without a single problem. When I used GoPro, the failure rate was about 15% of all shots taken.
There are few greater disappointments than taking off with an FPV drone, nailing a highly choreographed, dangerous action shot, landing, and seeing that the GoPro has frozen.

I have had mine overheat while filming indoors. If you're riding a motorcycle and it's getting plenty of cooling, you probably have better results than those using for an hour or more in non-moving situations.

Very true, and what ever new edition" the over heating and freezing is more apparent. The best one for me" till this day is the GoPro 5 & 6 models .
If that's the case it shouldn't be a feature on the camera.
