Costco also has for same price with three year warranty (called U75K at Costco but same TV according to Rtings). 679.99 minus 4% if you're Executive Member paying with card = $652.79. 8.2 rating at Rtings, pretty bright and good reflection handling per Rtings so should be a good TV for outside which is what I need. Thanks
Are you the type that buy the lowest end model and go into the high end threads and complain about a different product?
My experience. I bought a 55h9g a couple months after it first came out. Within the first year, the TV stopped working, turning on, etc. Hisense tried to repair but it didn't fix it. They sent out a replacement. Surprisingly, the "repaired" tv started working, except with visible grid lines. No big deal, I made it into an office tv.

The replacement h9g just stopped working today. Power led keeps blinking and restarting. So now I need to replace it since it's a TV that's used a lot.

I also have Hisense l5f120 I think, that I've had since it came out. No issues with it, but it rarely gets used.

I also have a Hisense a45kv in the laundry room. No issues with that, but doesn't get used often.

I have a hisense h6510g that I got maybe in 2020 black Friday I think. Used a lot, still running.

So that's my personal experience with Hisense. I don't expect them to be lifetime tvs. I do have a 32 inch Toshiba LCD from 2007 that's still chugging along in a guest room, so not used a lot. I also have a Vizio 60 inch m series from 2015 that still working, albeit with lowered brightness.

How does the Sony x80K compare to the U7K? I know what ratings says but wondering what someone who has experience with both would have to say. Thank you.

Anyone know if the 75" will get you a VA Panel or an IPS Panel?

The fact that the expectation that a Tv should only last a few years is ridiculous. I just had random line appear in my 4 year old Samsung & it pisses me off so bad. I guess tvs are disposable now like everything else. I'm just going with a decent tcl or hisense for replacement
The thing is a TV has many things going on now, and if something goes wrong, anything, the whole panel just dies. I mean I even got a roku to prevent the TV from going online and overwork.

Was your 5yo Hisense a lower or higher end tv?
55" H8 and a 75R6. Both work great for cheap tv's.

My 75 is an IPS panel. There has been much debate about it online, but seems the US models have the IPS in 75"

55 u7k or tcl 750g ? They are very similarly priced. Anyone with insights can share some knowledge ? I am torn between the two.

Am I understanding this correctly?: BestBuy & Amazon offer no short-term warranty whatsoever?

It doesn't. The U7K has a much better picture.

Worst TV brand in existence. I've had a Hisense 60" 4k for few years and I absolutely hate the thing. There isn't a good enough deal to make me ever want to own another one of their tvs.

Worse than RCA? I DOUBT IT! Mine lasted about 100 days, just over the 90 day warranty at the time. The tracing on the mainboard was weak. There was a class action and RCA agreed to offer... $50 savings certificates on your next RCA TV. Hard pass.

I'm not trying to argue. Just wanted to also provide some input in reference to what you said

I bought an LG C1, one of the best TV you can buy at the time, and it still has issues you mentioned from your Hisense. It's not a "brand" issue. We also purchased the best Samsung money could buy, think $100k Samsung, and it was even worse. We asked if we could get a dumb TV and they said no

I bought an AppleTV and it's much better than any Roku or FireTV streaming device. The streaming quality and UI is simply better. (I hate Apple with bias btw and am not a fanboi)

I retract my previous statement. I've experienced multiple lockups on my Hisense tv over the last few weeks. Even after a factory reset and Ethernet plugged into the tv, it's still slow and locks up. At minimum a manufacturer should provide a stable processor that doesn't lock up when changing inputs.
