The truth is, no one knows what will happen at the end of November 2024 when the Verizon acquisition is official. Verizon has said "Your current Tracfone Service Plan will remain available for use on VoLTE-ready phones at least until Nov. 23, 2024." It has not announced what will happen to legacy Tracfone plans after that date. My guess is Verizon will consolidate Tracfone users into one of its already existing pre-paid phone plans like Total. But again, this is speculation. The Tracfone brand is relatively well known so the company may choose to keep it.

People see Samsung and think the phone is good. You want the Samsung A23/A24 5G which has a Snapdragon processors or a A54/A54 for a much better experience.
Right now QVC and HSN seem to be transitioning to new model inventory. So what you see on their sites are leftover inventory until the new models arrive.

gaininja! Did you do research on this TODAY! I did! Unless you research for info from last 30 days, and read multiple sites, please understand, it is not doomposting ... just research it! And read user's experience that last month. Like you said "I despise Verizon with a passion" ... well, why do you "despise Verizon"... did they screw with you, and do you have a story to tell. If so, read stuff from the last 30 days with research.
Many people are just posting "rumors" but if they are true, and someone is planning on dealing with tracfone, at least research it, so you go into the deal with "your eyes open" ... also, I don't think it is bad to alert the tracfone community on this, to have some type of response to the rumors.
Spreading information and awareness is fine, but spreading baseless rumors is not fine with me. We need to make sure that what we're telling others factual as there's already enough BS being spread around on the internet. Zdhow made a good post here about the current situation rather than all the speculation and rumors that people are saying.
As for Verizon, I have a personal bone to pick with them because of them not honoring a past deal I had with them. I left that greedy piece of trash and went to Tracfone...only for Verizon to purchase Tracfone too which doesn't make me happy at all.
One other thing. Once Verizon finalizes the purchase, they have to notify current customers of any changes that will be happening to Tracfone since they're legally bound by the FCC to follow all regulation.

Used the tracfone as a number to give to people for absolute emergencies as phone was on for several days without charging. In case of emergency (like hurricane) it provides another carriers towers to my regular cell so more likely one will text or voice. Also if travelling provides towers as some locations may not have a good signal with one provider

I've also had MULTIPLE CONSECUTIVE incorrect port out PINs when trying to leave that cost me hundreds in unnecessary service fees because they extorted me to have active service to port out even though it only went inactive because their port out PINs (plural...over multiple months) magically never worked.
I have more stories but my time is valuable.
Verizon is a black hole for money. They have one of the highest profit margins of any US company. Wonder how they managed that

What we can do is of course build new companies to keep undercutting verizon then and then they will have to buy out All the companies.
Tmobile recently bought out mint...smh. no more good phone deals..sadly
Currently Verizon has 168 Billion market cap. so 7 billion for tracfone is a drop in the bucket, if it did gut Tracfone! To gain more Verizon accounts. The Big 3 : Verizon, AT T, t-mobile.
Not bad if you want to buy the phone outright from them.
