PSA: The original pressings of this disc had playback issues. Arrow fixed it with a subsequent release, and, according to people posting on blu-ray.com, if you get a version with a bad pressing, Arrow will replace the disc (takes about 6-8 weeks).

The corrected pressings can supposedly be ID'd by any or all of the following: AV409 or AV409/A on the spine of the case, or "v2" printed along the outer edge of the disc itself.

Off-topic. I am having issues with a Copy of The Last Starfighter from them not showing menus. Have you heard of a recall or reissue with it?

No, but that concerns me since I just got that movie last week. It's one of my favorites, but I haven't had time to watch it yet.

There's no mention of it on the blu-ray.com review or their forum thread for the movie.

What player are you using?

Xbox Series X, PS5, Panasonic 420, Sony x800m2, Sony 700, and LG WH16NS40. It will only read and load the disc on the Sony players. Everything else, including the PS5, won't even load it. I have contacted them through Twitter, Customer Service, and Facebook Messenger and have not gotten a response. I would definitely test it because I didn't test it until after I could return and exchange it and now I have a useless disc.

We like physical media. LOL.

I know some people like physical media but arrow films often has the digital version on sale on iTunes, etc. for $2.99 and it includes afaict all the special features though looking at the deleted scenes they're pretty low resolution so maybe the blu-ray is better there. Also the directors cut starts off with that inxs song instead of killing moon which is gross but you get both versions so nbd.

I mean, there's always the old retail switcheroo.

I'm not normally in favor of that strategy. But in this instance, we're not talking about a product that deteriorated due to consumer use. You got a bum disc. You followed protocol. The company failed to respond within your return window.

AFAIC, whether you go through Arrow or go through a retail store, either way, the defective disc ends up back with Arrow. You paid for a working disc and you're entitled to a working disc.
