OnePlus themselves has told people recycle it or keep it if your sentimental they could care less there's no trade in evaluation whatsoever. They even call it a $100 recycling reward.

After using OP's fast charge for over 3 years on my 8T, I can't imagine caring any less about a feature on a phone than wireless charging.

Pixel 8 has better camera, wireless charging and lighter compare to 12R. It also holds better trade-in value and software support in the future. For me, I will choose Pixel 8. Performance should not be much different on daily activities.

Phone came a few days ago. Works like a charm. The problem is that the package didn't mention anything about shipping back the trade-in phones. How should I do that?
On the 100.00 any phone trade in Oneplus sent me a free USPS label to ship the phone back. I don't know exactly how I got it but they will send you a label with no charge. There are many who have also mentioned that it doesn't matter if you send it back or not when it comes to the 100.00 trade in.

As a current 8 Pro user and long time Pixel Fanboy, I'm done with Pixel. The bugs are numerous and they just don't seem to fix any before rolling out the next phone. The constant WiFi "drops" are so annoying it's not funny anymore. Switching between apps gets REALLY laggy, even when not playing games.

I can say my 3a (still use as my car GPS and streaming music), 4a and 5a were excellent phones. The bugs started cropping up once this abomination called Tensor was used.

They also don't give any perks to stay with Pixel. They used to have unlimited storage for Google Photos or Drive. Nope. Add to that ALL settings flow over to next phone EXCEPT the storage saver option and not changing it until you're almost full and not allowed to retro the full rez pics.

So if you like dealing with unresolved bugs and don't mind waiting for screen rotation or app switching, yes, Pixel is the way to go.

I was able to get the 16gb/256gb version for $440 with the student discount. Looks like a sweet phone for the price

I'm trying to snag one of those but I can't get the 9% cash back to work anymore from Microsoft.

There is a small hole at the bottom beside the SIM slot. What's that for?
Thank you!

Just a heads, but OnePlus goofed and the 256gb model is actually still UFS3.1 and not an upgrade to UFS 4.0. The 128gb model was always advertised as UFS 3.1. If this spec was important to you, probably a good idea to raise hell with them and see if they will partially refund or offer return. Can't tell the difference in real-world usage, but 4.0 is supposed to be more power efficient. Here is the Reddit thread:

Has anyone removed the factory screen protector? If so, is it stiff plastic or rubber like material similar to the tpu hydrogel? Trying to decide if I should install the orzero tpu screen protector, was going to wait for some Amazon reviews. Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I received my phone on Monday. I was going to trade in my old Samsung A71 5g, but they did not send a return label for the Samsung. 12R has been great so far!

Took ours off immediately. They're stiff plastic.

You didn't get an email when you placed the order?
Your Trade-in shipping label is ready!

There's also a link in your order history to "See trade-in order" that allows you to print your shipping label as well.

Sorry but it's almost impossible to navigate the OnePlus website and not stumble upon a $30 coupon code.
