I ordered one of these and promptly returned it. The back is cheap laminate and it seemed poor quality. A case of you get what you pay for.

Cheap laminate of what? Bamboo is one of the cheapest woods as is. 👀

Bought this one early last year for $10. I would say for $10-$12 it's not bad. Is it as good as similar ones from IKEA, etc…? no, but still gets the job done.

My only critique is the sliding/expandable parts could be a little more snug (a little too much play), as they can tend to move a bit when opening/closing the drawer a lot. Also, the walls could be a little deeper too.

I recommend getting some 'museum wax' or rubber feet for any of these, to keep them from sliding around in a drawer that isnt an exact fit.

Bought this last time it was shilled. No deal here, you get exactly what you pay for. Balsa wood like quality but it does work as advertised and I'm still using it.

I got this in January '22 and it's in good shape. Looks good and organizes my silverware nicely. If it's laminate on the back you'll never notice, the top is just bamboo

I personally wouldn't want my eating utensils sitting on cheap, chemically treated wood

I've had a couple of these now. The wood dividers just sort of get loose and pop out after a couple of weeks or months, as you open the drawers and silverware gets jostled around. Back to using metal ones. Cool concept though if it were more sturdy

Right. Expensive wood is safer for touching metal, and they totally skip chemicals on expensiver trays. I do all my own medical research.

I bought 2 of these last year and am pleased enough that I bought a third one today. I find nothing wrong and lots good about these units.

We have this and its pretty poor quality. The vertical dividers don't stay in place and silverware keeps sliding under them into other slots.
