Depending on your use case (example: if you sit on your keys), the AirTag would just get pushed out with that holder's through-hole design.

For the use cases where forces aren't frequently applied, $1 for 4 holders seems like a good deal.

I've used two types….these and the hard ones. For security with an almost certainty they won't fall out, I prefer the hard ones. Although the silicone one I've used for my set of keys hasn't lost an air tag yet in the last year.

Don't get these for pet collars. I prefer those that loop through the collar and have no way for the tag to fall out.

This shilled-by-SD hanging stuff is crap unless you want to lose the Airtag.

Would not recommend. I recently swapped out several AirTags that were in silicone holders of this style (albeit not this brand) to those with a slot that's secured closed by the keyring itself. Had a few instances where an AirTag would fall out of the holder when pulling keys out of my pocket. Peace of mind is worth an extra $1 per holder to me.

Question for anyone who uses airtags. It's been suggested to get one to put on my dog in case he got loose, but don't they only have a range of 30 ft or so? I'm not sure how that would be very effective in this situation. Am I missing something?

Walmart ones are passthrough instead of solid back.

From my experience, for passthrough, the airtag always fall out unexpectedly

The range is relatively short yes but that range is from basically anyone who has an iPhone/iPad not just your phone. You could be miles away or on the other side of the planet and still be able to track the location. That's what makes them so good as a tracker and a bit scary when it comes to abuse.

The 30ft range to use the compass/Bluetooth feature.

If other iPhone are within the area (within 30ft) it will ping the surrounding area giving you a general idea where you dog is last via 'find me' feature. It's dependent if the neighborhood your dog is lost in is filled with iPhone users

Not the same. Walmart has the pass through in the back. Design wise the Amazon ones are better.
