Had one of these. I can't recommend it. The mounting system wasn't that great and caused my saw to slip. Honestly, save the money and just buy a track saw like Ridgid. Buy once, cry once.

I just literally use my 48" metal ruler to do the rip cuts. Once you do that, you just naturally remember the measurements.

Never used the kreg one but for DIY this one from Harbor Freight has worked well.

It's not a very quick system. You loosely attach it then check your saw to your measured line and then lock it down. If you had three hands it would be quicker. I have the 50" and the 24" is probably a little less cumbersome but 48" plywood exists. It squares up well when locked down and produces straight cuts if I do my part. For less than $15 on sale it's a nice tool to have if you're not running a circular saw often enough to trust yourself to make straight cuts.

I have never used this either but it uses an edge that works with the shoe on circular saws.

If you're doing repetitive cuts it might be worth getting a track saw or table saw.

Back in December, Menards was selling these for less than $20. I was ready to buy it because of how cheap it was but thankfully I read reviews first and put it right back on the shelf.

Bought this from Lowes a week or so ago to break down some 4x8 MDF. Worked pretty well for my purposes and will keep it. Getting the measurement perfect is a little tricky but in terms of cutting straight, worked well for me. Might be different with harder wood like plywood.

Can someone suggest if my setup can be improved?

I lay my sheet goods down on foam insulation board and use a cheap Harbor Freight aluminum clamp guide [harborfreight.com] for full-length rips.

yeah it goes on sale as a combo bundle for around $350. 100% worth it. i can knock out projects twice as fast rather than fumbling around with a huge piece of plywood and my table saw

That's only the track. You need the saw and the track:

Many of the major manufacturers make track saws now. There are also corded versions.
