Using a CR2032 battery is a much bigger deal break than using a micro USB interface.

Edit: The listing is a bit confusing as it shows it is both rechargeable and battery powered. It appears this model is the battery powered one.

actually, unless I'm mistaken, the one on sale that OP is referring to uses two CR2032 cell batteries and is not rechargeable. The product page is confusing, though.

Yea that is confusing. The picture says "Rechargeable & battery powered", and the reviews seem to state it is micro-usb. The main product pictures do not seem to show any charger.

This is not rechargeable. I got it when it was $1.80 on an SD a little while back. I liked it enough that I bought a couple more at $4. The $4 price is pretty common with the coupon in case you aren't in a rush. This is great for kids who share rooms with younger siblings who want to read before bed. I use it myself as well as not to annoy the wife.

I have this and this isn't rechargeable and you can't even get to the batteries without taking out screws.

I have the rechargeable one and it's okay, I just rather have a rechargeable. Amazon also shows another model/make that is more ($11.99) but i like the features- rechargeable, dimmable, wider and brighter led bar, etc., so I am trying it instead.

I have one of these and it's fine if you have a hard back cover book but on soft cover books it flops around all the time.

FWIW... our experience with two of these is that they chew through batteries.
Been trying to find a better option.
