It'll extend your return period from 15 days to 60 for peace of mind in case the U8K comes back on sale or if you decide you just don't like it. You can cancel the membership within 60 days of purchasing it for a full refund.

I had the 98S550G ordered, then I switched to the 100U76N at $3000. I had a hard time justify that large gap in pricing though. Now it's a no brainer. I hope it is close to the performance of the 100U8K. I was one of the unlucky ones who ordered the 100U8K from Amazon for $3K on Black Friday. They cancelled our orders on 1/11 and then started to take orders for $5k. Very slimy.

The specs are better with the 100U76N than the 98S550G.

I've been eyeing the 75" U8k to replace my 75" TCL that developed a huge washed out spot a week after the 1 year warranty ended. My viewing area is about 3x as wide as it is deep, with windows down the whole wall behind the seating. How are the viewing angles on these? The huge size is very tempting.

For anyone wondering about the Hisense;
•FALD - 256 Zones (on 100" screen may not have such significant impact)
•2 Year Manufacturer warranty by default
•Does have Ethernet.
