Damn good deal for an 83". It shares the name with the S90C, but it's using an LG WOLED panel.

.gov or edu won't work for this deal. You need to have access to EPP to get the pricing op has mentioned. I can create an epp account for you. Trading $5 amazon. Dm if interested.

I went with the same option, currently sitting in the box against my wall & I can't wait to plug this thing in and see what it can do. It's **massive** in the box and heavy. I almost feel like it's too big but that'll fade once it's up on the wall.
The box is huge and looks intimidating lol but once you remove the box and its up on the wall looks awesome!

Pulled the trigger today for 83" TV. Thanks to the forum I was able to get 10% off and 2 year Samsung care. Final price after tax was $2337. I am happy it'll be here before Super Bowl. This is the second flat panel TV I will own and I am upgrading from 11 year old LG. I work on display and graphics processing technology so while my work monitors kept going up in spec my TV stayed behind in tech.

I see a lot of chatter about QD-OLED vs WOLED technology. I am going to be honest, they are both superb display technologies. You will only notice difference when you keep them side by side or test them under lab setting. If this is the only TV you going to be keeping in your room then go with the bigger screen.
I agree with you on this one, all the chatter about the QD-OLED VS WOLED was making me crazy, but like I mentioned before at this price range for an 83" hard to pass, if you can afford it why not! go for it.

Yes it did, yours didn't ?
Mine comes in tomorrow and mounting on Sunday. I wanted to test it out before mounting. Glad to hear it came with the film so it'll be protected from fingerprints/head grease during mounting.

Still wondering how the slim fit mount will work with this

Awesome, perfect timing for Sunday to watch the game. Yes it will definetly protect it from fingerprints, be careful not to put too much pressure on the screen when picking it up, the tv is quite heavy so make sure you get someone with strong arms lol, good luck!

I currently have an 85" and for the first few months it felt massive. 4 years later I never even think about the size, at least until I go to a friend's house and they have a much smaller TV.

It'll become normal before you know it, but also impossible to go any smaller from here on out!

I took delivery on Wednesday and paid the guys $20 to unbox and set it up on the stand so I could check for dead pixels and making sure I could power it on.

I ordered this mount from Amazon and it works great;
https://a.co/d/8S4iQgz

Came from a 2018 LG OLED C7 that is amazing. Sold it for $650 today.

This TV out of the box is just as amazing. It is massive. 61% more screen area. I will spend time this weekend dialing it in and posting pictures.

Thank you to everyone that helped me decide this was the best value and not to worry about the hype of QD.

Thanks to Sam.Thomas for the EPP hook up.

Thank you to the SD community for keeping the FatWallet spirit alive.

I am unable to duplicate that price on either EPP or government employee account. OP are you able to share a screenshot of the discount so I can try and obtain it via chat?
With Samsung, Government employee program is not applicable for TVs. First Responders program is applicable

I would like to know too! I used the rtings ones for now and they looked good on the HDR YouTube demo type videos but not sure if there is something more optimal especially for lower resolution content like sports streaming

Correction employee discount $2500 but edu is 3500. Also careful this is woled and not qdoled so less bright and vivid (as far as I know)
I'm in the "government program" and it's 3500

Lol not happening any time soon.
Why not? Maybe another 100 or 200 drop from here, and if you use cashback sites on top, it should be very close to 2000.

Just got this thing last night. It's massive! Coming from a 75" QLED from 2019, I wasn't expecting this much of an improvement. I don't care what you tell me a QD panel is not worth going down to a 77". This is literally a C3 for half the cost!

You definitely will need help to install it. The mounts on Samsungs website are a joke. Just get a regular mount from Costco it'll work.

The only shitty part is no one seems to have bought this TV. I can't find any color settings to dial in the picture for WOLED panels on QD. If anyone has a good settings preset who knows what they're doing please post them. I'd like to get it really dialed in.

Nice install! HoD show looks a little pixelated, maybe just the photo?
Agree with such an amazing deal on a 83" OLED, when C3 going for 3.5k
