.
Please note the "Free Welcome item" includes a few choices such as Dorito Taco and 5-layer Burrito,
But the burrito - they never put enough filling in so my advice is that if you want to enjoy the burrito customize it to somehow like add rice & add black beans & style = "Make it Grilled" for like $1 extra ends up being passable.

YOU NEED TO USE THE MOBILE APP !!!!
I did 2 accounts in a web browser and waited over 1 hour.... nothing showed up in "rewards".
Then did another in the Taco Bell mobile App... the reward is available immediately.

Right now? I'd buy build your own cravings box at $6. It's good amount of food for price. Most of the combos are crap deals and many of the individual items are crazy crazy priced. $6 Cravings box, I can get crunchwrap + 5 layer burrito + potato side + drink.
Return of the $5 Cravings box with crunchwrap + beefy 5-layer + soft taco when?

Now this is a pricing mishmash, because my stackers are $2.49. Never got one but they look good and definitely would get them. However $7.50 vs $6.00 means I'll stick to the box because I like the potatoes. Drinks I tend to avoid but it being included, maybe I'll get coffee or OJ though. OJ is nice cause can just put it in fridge for whenever.
Panera, my nearest one is legit 20 minutes out of the way so never go.
Stackers again, look great and definitely would be getting them at $1.99.
That's technically nine or ten bites of food for me. ELEVEN DOLLARS.
There was nothing special on the app at the time, either. This is a little out of control.
Yes, thier prices have soared. They ditched my favorite items. Some items only come in supreme and I don't like supreme, so it's wasted money because I remove it. It's a money grab over there.
a cheesy gordita crunch is $5 by itself
I end up eat less food because add on are crazy

Local store isn't getting my business anymore and the one by my work will lose it when they follow suit. I guess with price increases like this they're well aware they'll need to try and get the same revenue from half the customers.
This isn't exclusive to Taco Bell. The good ole days of $1-2 dollar burgers are over.

The $5.99 "BYO Cravings Box" under Online Exclusives is where it's at. If you're vegetarian like me, don't fall for the new "Veggie BYO Cravings Box" that is $8.48 at my local Tbell for the exact same menu items just pre-vegified (The only difference is the quesadilla is an option and the Cheesy Gordita Crunch isn't).
Seriously, this online only option is the only good deal. I order in the drivethru line on my phone and pull up to the speaker and give my name. Don't bother with any other combos unless they are for something new to the menu with a limited time icon - those are good deals usually but still a bit more pricey.
The app is real generous with the fire rewards so if I'm feeling extra hungry I'll add one of those to my order. If I'm really splurging I'll grab one regular price item as a treat.
