Plus it includes road hazard for those 5 years as well. DT that is extra. Im not saying Costco beats DT on every tire they share but after fees usually Costco ends up slightly better.

"If you find a lower price that we've missed, we'd like to know. We'll beat the competition's lower, installed price, and will work to offer you the best deal. We will not be undersold.*"

Costco has 'free' installation and DT charges extra, but includes rotation and balancing for the life of the tire.
Seems that the best deal would be to get DT to match TR while getting 'lifetime" rotation/balancing

What's the best place to get just 1 tire if I need a replacement?

Discount Tire matches not only the tire price but the free installation as well, at least they have for me the past two sets of tires I've purchased. They looked at the out the door price from Costco and adjusted their price accordingly.

Few weeks ago I slid on snow and broke my rim. Amazingly the tire didn't pop or bubble. I love Michelin tired. I had bought all four from Costco couple years earlier.
I drove in with a used rim I had bought and asked if they could swap the broken one with the new one. I had the tire sensor too. Both factory. They took my car but because I was a walk in he said he was too busy that day to do it. I said no problem take your time.
The next morning I get a call saying my car would be ready at noon. I went and they didn't charge me anything. Not a cent. I thought for sure they would charge me something. I'm always going to buy my tires there.

I just got 2 tires today at Walmart
But Costco comes with free road hazard warranty
that said Costco seems to have mostly winter tires for my size tire in Bridgestone so not too helpful
Tires seem kind of ridiculous expensive for some normal 16" tires right now at Discount or Costco though.
Depends how worn your other tires are. You may want to buy a used (not repaired) tire locally to match the treadwear of your current 3. If you can't find one and your tires have over 10,000 miles on them, i recommend buying a new pair so the tread isn't that different in the front or rear. Then you can save one of your older ones as a spare or sell it on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace.
I might do this. My new tires are like under 5k miles and only one became irreparable, so I put on 1 of my older tires for the time being. I figured I'll just replace it if I find a new one on the cheap, cause I'm about to trade in the car within a month.
