Nice! 4k reviews on Amzn and 4.5 rating, FWIW:

DeLonghi 1500W Oil Filled Radiator Space Heater - Quiet, Portable Electric Heater With Programmable Timer and Safety Features https://a.co/d/aY13NVY

Have a bunch of ceramic ones, as well as a Dr. Infrared -- but wife still complains it's cold with any of those turned on AND the house thermostat set at 68 degress during day. Surprise, surprise Smilie

This or one of those highly rated Dreos? Ratings on Dreo also high, price about same, and I remember it was at or near top in a recent Project Farm test, though I don't recall if he tested oil heaters, too. Hmmm...

I can vouch for Delonghi. I've been using the digital version of this for over 12 years with no problems. I just bought my Mom the one below last month. They keep the room at whatever temperature you want. I prefer 70 degrees.

I have both the dreo and delonghi. Delonghi is a old one, older than this but similar. Dreo is the new metal fin in black. I would say the dreo warms up the room quicker.

I have this in black. Overall, it's been great for heating, but the handle area is annoying because the space behind it is very small. The design makes it hard to grip and there's no other part that you can grab onto if it needs to be moved (it'll obviously be too hot).

Interesting how the Amazon links to the same unit, yet there really is no timer (as Amazon says that it does have one, but really doesn't!). Does anyone know of a decent unit like this one, that is NOT digital, that has a timer? Using a wireless outlet is too sketchy for these (in my opinion). Thanks!

This does make some noise when it's first turned on (as the metal expands), but that's probably true of all oil filled radiators.

When you buy it new, make sure to leave it on at full heat for at least 12 hours in a well aired place (a garage would be perfect), to get rid of the smell.

Had a Delonghi oil-filled space heater once that had a super loud popping sound (expansion) every time it turned on. It was the worst. Finally just gave it away. Not buying again.

This isn't very slick, its the regular price of home depots version... and I'm sure its from the exact same factory.

Isn't using up to 1500W and the advertised "low energy bills" feature contradictory?

This is an oil-filled radiator heater. It is not a "radiant" heater. (The difference is convection vs electromagnetic energy transfer.)

I assume they mean comparing heating one room with this as opposed to entire house with central air. Of course that depends on operating cost of your HVAC.
for me with solar this runs pretty much for free ;p

No leaks. The oil is sealed.
