Don't buy Samsung major appliances. Call around to repair companies and see how many don't work on them!

you probably don't know how it works.

these dryers don't come with a pre-attached cord. you need to screw in the wiring. what happens is some people accidentally plug in the cord and then try to connect the wiring to the panel of the dryer which can cause a large spark considering you're dealing with 30 amps. turn off the breaker to reduce any risk of it sparking.
I know exactly how it works. Anyone who plugs a cord in and then tries to connect live wires deserves to be electrocuted.

and i've had samsung on two rentals for 7+ years and never had any issues.

your anecdotal experience isn't the reality or else people would stop buying these appliances by now yet these brands sell millions of them yearly.
I've had Samsung TV, Samsung Fridge, Samsung Washer, Samsung Dryer. Every single one is a pile of garbage. TV has been outright replaced twice, fridge has every plastic interior part cracking and breaking, washer has recalled and replaced, and dryer repairs I already mentioned. There's a reason why Samsung is cheap.

Just had my piece of junk Samsung dishwasher replaced yesterday.

Moved into a house with 3 year old Samsung appliances. Fridge already had the ice maker replaced, range has a clock that constantly flashes, and as I mentioned, dishwasher was replaced because it no longer sprayed water.

They are junk

I got this and the matching washer on a Lowe's clearance deal for ~$400 each in the spring last year, brand new in original packaging.

Research suggested that there is a major issue with the washer - it allegedly, eventually shreds the weights on the drum. Remedy was to make sure it was perfectly leveled and they packaged in some rough-sided tape to put on the floor under the front feet which seems like an attempt to mitigate as I've never had a washer come with that in the past.

So far so good. The AI is marketing magic as it often does not get the clothes completely dry.

$200 ship to LA area. Not sure how slick this is if it's a Samsung. I need a dryer and this price seems pretty great but doesn't seem worth it in the end with the endless possibilities of problems ahead. On the fence

I had to replace the heating element and the tensioner pulley on my Samsung dryer within 2 years. Also had the lint catcher plastic break, but at least it's still usable. Samsung is trash
I've had to replace the rollers and tensioner a few years ago... and then last month, our dryer DRUM cracked. Turns out it's a known manufacturing defect that Samsung won't acknowledge... never buying their appliances again.

It's both a buzzword and a real thing. They use processing to determine whether stuff is dried or not. And it learns based on the number of times you have to restart it and what not. It does actually get it "correct" more often than not. Which is way better than the days when 60 min timed dry was the only setting.

no.

all they do is level it (which you can do yourself by rotating the knobs at the bottom of the dryer, attach the vent (which is common sense), and plug in the wiring. The wiring is the only part where it can be tricky so I would suggest turning off your electrical breaker for the dryer receptacle, connect the wiring (very simple since it is color-coded) plug the cord, and then turn on the breaker. For $100, it's not worth it. You can do it in ten minutes.
Same price for just the parts from them 😕
