Lol. Have a 50" out there. Thinking about putting it in media room along with one of the 65" LGs. We watch a lot of sports. Can watch 4 games via YTTV on the 85" er and main game on the 65".
When I saw the price at Sams, I didn't purchase initially, but I couldn't resist. I purchased online, getting an additional 1,400 AA Miles via the AA eShopping button... so, a TV that comes with a three-year warranty AND airline miles... very nice.
Absolutely did not fit in the Honda Element. Put it on the roof rack, screen side up, and ratcheted it down. It went for a LONG ride, but I kept my speed down below 55 (ok, 60).
Took down the 65" LG OLED that had screen burn issue... put this in its place, and then went into settings to defeat every option that Hisense put in to "improve" the picture.
Tested with the "Jump" scene in The Fifth Element, and the LA Earthquake scene in 2012. Fifth Element looked great... but 2012 looked dark and lacking detail. (likely to to the 60Hz refresh).
I watched a few other action films and found that the additional detail that you saw really helped get you into the film.
Overall, I can live with this. as someone else said, it costs less than a cell phone... so just the sheer size makes up for the shortcomings.
Can't comment on sound, I run my audio through an Onkyo AVR and Magnapan speakers + center, sub and rear.
Irritation: it doesn't look like there is a discrete on/off, as trying to program a Harmony 900 with this gave that as a challenge, as well as telling the stupid thing to switch to HDMI 1. This will take more time to investigate... something that is a PITA.
Bottom-line: It was a good purchase, with a 90 day return policy in place if I decide I can't live with a non-OLED screen.
