yoooooo is this the cheapest an 85" has reached?
That review is for the u7 series, rtings have not reviewed the a7 series. Looking at the Hisense website, this TV does not have local dimming or the 120hz refresh rate and probably does not perform as well as the more expensive u7 series rtings reviewed.

Still a good deal if you can find one locally.
yet. they have new mod staff popping up every minute with 15k+ in reps and we dont even know them.

Have no need for one, and no logical place to put one. Don't want to swap out either of my 65" LG C2 OLEDs. So, question is, where do I put the 85" Hisense I just purchased?

Lol. Have a 50" out there. Thinking about putting it in media room along with one of the 65" LGs. We watch a lot of sports. Can watch 4 games via YTTV on the 85" er and main game on the 65".

I purchased on in Denver. I use mine to watch Dish and various media via KODI.

When I saw the price at Sams, I didn't purchase initially, but I couldn't resist. I purchased online, getting an additional 1,400 AA Miles via the AA eShopping button... so, a TV that comes with a three-year warranty AND airline miles... very nice.

Absolutely did not fit in the Honda Element. Put it on the roof rack, screen side up, and ratcheted it down. It went for a LONG ride, but I kept my speed down below 55 (ok, 60).

Took down the 65" LG OLED that had screen burn issue... put this in its place, and then went into settings to defeat every option that Hisense put in to "improve" the picture.

Tested with the "Jump" scene in The Fifth Element, and the LA Earthquake scene in 2012. Fifth Element looked great... but 2012 looked dark and lacking detail. (likely to to the 60Hz refresh).

I watched a few other action films and found that the additional detail that you saw really helped get you into the film.

Overall, I can live with this. as someone else said, it costs less than a cell phone... so just the sheer size makes up for the shortcomings.

Can't comment on sound, I run my audio through an Onkyo AVR and Magnapan speakers + center, sub and rear.

Irritation: it doesn't look like there is a discrete on/off, as trying to program a Harmony 900 with this gave that as a challenge, as well as telling the stupid thing to switch to HDMI 1. This will take more time to investigate... something that is a PITA.

Bottom-line: It was a good purchase, with a 90 day return policy in place if I decide I can't live with a non-OLED screen.

Anyone that purchased have the picture settings that worked well for you? Picture is great for slow motion or still scenes but sub-par for sports. A bit of buyers remorse here. Hoping it's a setting thing.

It does but it's a turd to register. When I registered mine last year the model number was not in the drop-down so I had to call them and open a ticket then they registered it for a year then I had to call them several times to register it with the 3-year and send them pictures it was ridiculous hopefully somebody fixes their website so all the model numbers appear.
Same challenge here... model is not in the dropdown list. There is a 85A76H, but mine shows 85A75H. Anyone else?

You will need to call them and have them open a case. It will likely take several calls and emails. They registered mine with 1 year first time around even though every conversation and email said 3. Also its stupid web site is still broken for model list.

Anyone have any luck on the 3 year warranty? I finally got the 1 year warranty after a few emails but was told no dice on the 3 year warranty. Now I cant find any details anywhere supporting the claim.... TV no longer on sams club site... nothing on the receipt...

Can anyone comment on the quality of this TV? I have an A65K and I like it, it's good. So would the A75H be pretty much the same thing but 85"?

If you currently own the TV please comment this would help a lot of people out
It's either the same TV rebranded for Costco or a slight upgrade. I have the A65 65 in my office. Looks great. I have the 85 u8k in my home that is obviously nicer

I actually ended up purchasing it, it's practically identical to the a65K. little to no difference other than screen size. btw how much did your 85" u8k cost?

How can I check if my nearby Sam's club has this? Clicking the link just takes me to the homepage?
