I purchased the 600 ft lb version last year and I've found it lacking when removing wheel lug nuts. Just ordered this high torque version, thanks op!

What lugs are that tight? 600 should zip off auto lugs. Semi could be challenging but nothing car related.
That is concerning or yours is defective.

I have the 300 ft/lbs impact wrench and have taken off plenty of lug nuts torqued to 80 to 100 ft lbs easily. Sure it doesn't zip them off quickly but a couple bursts and they're loose.
