The slightly better S970H has been $350 new at Adorama a couple times recently. But if Costco offers additional warranty on top of what the manufacturer does or if you just want to pick it up locally, the S760H may be a better option for some.

I have this. It's fine. I hate their volume control versus onkyos but whatever. Personal tastes.

I just got it yesterday, but I have not yet tried it. You may refer to older deals for any comments.

It's been $300 on Amazon Lightning Deals twice in the last few weeks. If you're patient, it may pop up again.

Running one of these in my garage 5.1 setup with pioneer bs22 speakers. Sounds much better than the Yamaha it replaced. Great budget receiver.

I got one during that $209 refurb sale. The packaging of the receive was fine. The unit itself was in great condition minus a few scratches on the clear plastic display. However, you only notices said scratches in direct lighting. The unit ships with the latest firmware and all the HDMI ports and speaker ports seemed to be working without issue.

I had a previous one from Costco before returning it to get the Onkyo TX-NR6050 which has more power and better GUI and network configuration options. That said, I couldn't resist picking it up for half the cost I paid new and I honestly think the Denon has a better sound pairing with the Polk speakers I use. Just make sure to turn off any CEC and HDMI power configuration features in the HDMI settings or you'll have occasional random switching of inputs.

Looks like most of the coupons for Jan 2024 have expired. There doesn't seem be any active 20-30% coupons right now.

Got it for $209 + tax refurb. A small scratch on the dial but so far working great. What a steal

Yes I got it for $209. There are horror stories on reddit and SD about Denon refurbs and others saying it's great.

My experience was pretty good. A small scratch on the volume knob on the receiver which really doesn't matter to me. All the functions work exactly like the one I got from costco.

My fellow SD'ers -- is this the best bang for the buck future-proof receiver one can get right now?
