Included films:
  • Psycho (1960)
    • One of the most shocking films of all time, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho changed the thriller genre forever. Join the Master of Suspense on a chilling journey as an unsuspecting victim (Janet Leigh) visits the Bates Motel and falls prey to one of cinema's most notorious psychopaths - Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins).
  • Psycho II (1983)
    • Psycho II is the terrifying sequel to one of the most suspenseful films of all time, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. Anthony Perkins makes a horrific homecoming in his role as the infamous Norman Bates, who after years of treatment at a mental institution for the criminally insane, still can't quite elude the demands of 'Mother.' Vera Miles also returns as the inquisitive woman who is haunted by her sister's brutal murder and the ominous motel where it all occurred. Meg Tilly and Dennis Franz co-star in this fiendish chiller.
  • Psycho III (1986)
    • Anthony Perkins stars in and directs the most shocking Psycho film of all: Psycho III. After years in prison, Norman Bates returns home to the Bates Motel. When a pretty young woman (Diana Scarwid) runs to the motel - and Norman's open arms – to escape a scandalous secret, he finally gets a chance at a new life. But he has one murderous skeleton in his closet that will do anything not to share him. It's a new day at the Bates Motel, but the nightmares are just beginning...
  • Psycho IV (1990)
    • Anthony Perkins, Henry Thomas and Olivia Hussey star in this chilling prequel to the classic Hitchcock thriller. A seemingly rehabilitated Norman Bates (Perkins) is drawn to a late night radio show where the host (CCH Pounder) encourages him to share his views on the topic of matricide – the murder of a mother by her own child. Reliving his childhood, Norman recounts his trials as a young boy (Thomas) living with his widowed schizophrenic mother (Hussey). These haunting memories are more than just disturbing visions of the past; they threaten to rekindle his killing urge in this spine-tingling thriller.

General consensus seems to be that the sequels and remakes are not worth watching. Anyone want to comment on that? First one is a classic must see.

Agree Part 2 is excellent, "Only your mother truly loves you"...
Part 3 is an ok at home movie to sort of wrap up the 2nd. Honestly I don't mind

Part IV was interesting and was supposed to be a TV series too but Perkins was already dying at that point. But Even 4 is an ok film to watch at home as a fan of the Psycho "Universe."

Btw part IV is not always available for streaming - might be on Peacock now.. but having the physical version in this instance is idea. Oh and Olivia Hussey is in it - look her up in the 1960s wow!!

Psycho is two a very good film, in its own right, and part 3 is a bit of a generic 80's slasher. Part 4 isn't great, but if you're fan of the series, it's worth your time.

Curious if there is a more definitive version of Psycho, in terms of transfer quality, extras, etc. Like is buying this set sort of downgrading what is out there for that first classic film, if you want the best version?

There does seem to be a lot of really good extras in this set though. Value for this set seems really great. I don't see any digital codes - can anyone confirm that those do not come with this?

These will likely come out on 4K disc, waiting for that.
