It looks like they changed the cap color from having a Red stripe to being fully black.

This is the trail series, which means it's lighter, but also easier to dent/damage. I had one hydro flask almost 10 years before I replaced it, reason being that the gasket got very nasty, and apparently once you replace it they will start leaking. Anyways, I got one of these a while back and I'm enjoying it, but I foresee the gasket getting gross again. The other versions of hydro flask won't have this issue since the gasket is on the outside (not embedded in the lid).

Can't you just buy a new lid, independent of the bottle, for both series?

Sadly they still haven't made rubber boots for the trail series. Ended up picking up a Takeya rubber boot for my 32oz.

I've also had mold start growing in the lids of these insulated bottles where the silicon gasket is. Is it ok to just soak the entire lid in bleach + water overnight to kill the mold? And then soak in clear water for maybe 30 min before air drying?
