Definintely need this for the hobby station. Hopefully it comes up as a free tool option in the near future.
Hot enough for what? I plan to use this for small projects like heat shrink tubing

Woo! Was hoping for a cheap 'with battery' bundle... But cannot resist. Same use cases as you... I have a lot of the 18v hobby tools (glue gun, solder, magnifying light, rotary tool)... Love them all! Thanks OP!

It's possible it could come up as a free tool option in the future but I would say it is more likely that it will go back up to full price soon, so if you're serious about wanting this then get in on this sale.

It seems like when Home Depot releases a new product they put on on sale to get the product in the hands of people to leave reviews and then it goes back up to the normal price and stays there for a VERY long time. If you are looking to get this then I would suggest to pull the trigger, I waited on the Hybrid spot cleaner [homedepot.com] when it was newly released and missed out and still waiting for it to go on sale again. Mad

Can you expand on this? How does it compare to your expectations for a heat gun?

I assume he's thinking as a reflow station for soldering or something... Clearly this is not advertised for such use case. Seems like a decent tool to me and I been eyeing it for awhile.

Not sure if I'm ready to pull the trigger yet. $30 would be the sweet spot for me. But I only seen it at full price before today even from their outlet store.

It's actually more expensive at their outlet store today by 2 cents LMAO

$44.97 vs $44.99

I had some AMEX points which I cashed in for some Home Depot Gift cards, so it pretty much was $30 equivalent for me

This has my wife's name all over it. The large heat gun I have is too big for her art projects. Thanks OP. In for one!

Same, would be convenient to have for the once a year I need it, but still hard to justify... I think I am going to take my chances and wait a bit and see if DTO drops it later (have a store 15 minutes from me)

A heat gun is a device used to emit a stream of hot air, usually at temperatures between 100 and 550 °C (373 and 823 K; 212 and 1,022 °F), with some hotter models running around 760 °C (1,030 K; 1,400 °F), which can be held by hand.
So this model gets 750F which is about 400C - just right under a regular heat gun can put out.
