This is actually my favorite Ryobi tool. I resell a lot, and many of the things I buy are taped shut. This removes the tape without damaging the cardboard.

Heat shrink tubing and quick solder connections. Had to repair a wiring harness recently due to rodent damage, this would have been SO nice to have instead of my butane torch. Buying one now =)

Not very hot. Only works well on high quality heat shrink and connectors. The cheap ones won't melt

I have this. Works pretty darn well for me. I use it regularly for releasing adhesives, heat shrink on wiring and for 3d printing. Works well for erasing scratch marks from stuff printed in almost any plastic

Got mine today and it worked great on heat shrink solder connections. I got mine as a big cheap bulk pack from Amazon, for what it's worth.
