No. Different tools. You would want an impact wrench, mid to high torque. Most likely your car was over torque at a shop. Most cars wheel lug torque specs around 70-110 ft-lbs. You would also want a torque wrench if you gonna diy

Nope, not even close. It might be able to drive deck bolts/screws but don't expect it to deliver actual impact wrench performance.
Currently some home depot locations have these with battery and charger for $79 instead of $199 but it's clearance deal so YMMV. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../325480442
Lastly, why I know? Because I have fuel line impact of this hex version and mid range as well as high torque M18 wrench so I've seen what each is capable of. This one would be able to loosen those 8-13mm bolts but when it comes to something like wheel lugs it needs Ft/lbs not inches.

1500 in/lbs is equal to 125 ft/lbs, which is more than enough. You're going to be losing some torque with a hex to 3/8 adapter, but you'd still have more than enough for a passenger car or small/compact truck (typically around 70-80 ft/lbs).

Sure, theoretically. But in the real world it is quite hit or miss whether an impact driver like this can successfully remove lugs. The correct tool for the job is an impact wrench.

I have this exact driver and have removed nuts torqued at 100. There are a few videos on YouTube also.

Same reason we buy things we don't need. Just because.

You do realize that majority of lugs aren't being installed with torque wrench to exact specs, right? Those air impact at shops will ziing... them in place with at least 100+. Second you're talking theoretical numbers which is nice if it was true but just the fact that you'll be using hex to square drive for socket will loose some amount of power just from that. On the other hand though why not, I'm sure people will find other use for it even if it fails at taking off few or most lugs off so just buy it, think later.

Not sure if old or new but considering it's brushed, probably previous gen, new brushless advertises 1700 in-lbs 0-3600 RPM and 0-4900 IMP it's also shorter. Like I mentioned some HD has brushless one for as low as $79 ($99 sale price deal) which includes 2.0 battery, charger and bag as well as 5yr tool and 2yr battery warranty, for someone with no battery or charger that deal makes the most sense to buy IMO.
One thing I noticed is they put list/original price was $258 and LMAO that thing was never that price EVER, even if it was sold in a kit I think.

Thx! They also currently have the 1/2" version for $99 with battery at home depot. Would probably be better than the 1/4" for people looking to remove lug nuts.
