This shoe specifically would be poor for running. The shoe is huge. Why do you need ankle support for running? it weighs almost 500 grams per shoe. The little nubs on the bottom get rocks/sticks/crap stuck in them.
I dont want shoes that absorb impact and allow me to run with poor form. These cloud shoes have massive cushion on the bottom of them which absorb energy. Over a long run this causes you to do more work. It may be comfortable in the short term but its going to cause issues down the line. I also prefer shoes with a very wide toe box, I want to spread my toes out as my foot lands. On Cloud shoe might be fine for treadmill running or track running or even your first half marathon. I don't know any long term runners that wear this brand. I dont think SD forum is the right place to discuss the benefits of a harder sole, zero heel drop, and wide toe box vs more 'comfortable' shoes but there is a ton of research available.
Ultimately you should wear whatever shoe that is comfortable for you to run in. If you like it and it makes you want to run its probably a good shoe for you.
