Having seen a number of these promotions, it's sadly par for the course. In particular for Switch. The Target deal this week that this is a match of and is based on to begin with is already lackluster, and so then this just ends up sucking even more.

Usually Walmart will allow returns without receipts if you show your ID which they put in their system. They supposedly only allow a certain amount of returns using an ID. That's what I'm sure he was referring to. They could have gotten more strict and don't allow that anymore on such items.
