I don't know why it is the way it is, probably NSA related tracking or just poor coding on developers part. But, he's not wrong in saying that 128gb is pretty abysmal at this point.

This is Motorola's higher-end phone that retailed for $600 just 18 months ago. It was overpriced, but at $160 it's a pretty good deal today.
Stylus 2023 has normal glass, LCD display. It's newer so the processor speed is within a few percent of the Edge 2022, but it lacks other high-quality features.

I had just recently commented on how Moto haf-asses their OS updates just to keep a promise. I've had three Moto phones in the past that started out great only to wind up broken after an OS update. I wish they would just support the original OS with security updates for a long time That's why I'm considering a cheapy Samsung. At least their updates work (I think...).
i read folders are problematic. i'm afraid to touch folders.
But gosh this model has terrible cameras. Just be warned.
There is also a Motorola Edge + 2022 and that will get 3 system updates and 4 years of security updates. That has the snapdragon gen 1.
While this model may not get as long security updates as the PLUS, I still think it is perfectly reasonable update time at this deal price. I also believe that companies do these updates as a planned obsolescence. They want you to simply get new phones every couple years. People act like the phone won't work anymore if they don't get the latest updates and that isn't true. Fear mongering. People also have highly rated (4.7 out of 5) free anti-virus apps that have +100 million downloads. I have avast anti-virus on my older motorola phones that stopped getting security updates.
I have a Motorola G Stylus 2020, Motorola G Stylus 2022 and tons of other Motorola phones. My Motorola G Stylus 2022 is a good enjoyable phone but it is a bit too big and heavy (7.58 ounce) for me to carry as a dailydriver so I use my samsung galaxy a54 as my dailydriver. I believe that the Edge 2022 would be a more comfortable phone than my moto g stylus 2022.
