Even the chow mein has 9g in a normal portion. That said, as long as you're not rawdogging two servings of Beijing Beef every meal and you don't have diabetes, you'll be alright.
That user shouldn't be told to "move on" simply because they feel the portions aren't worth their price. They are commenting on value, which is literally the point of these forums. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with them, but portion to price for a restaurant "deal" is a highly relevant metric.
I have to agree though that my subjective opinion is Panda is stingy. I don't go there absent a deal like this. I've gotten meals with each entree having only a couple small pieces of meat at full price, multiple times. That said, the "cheapness" of home cooked food also depends on where one shops, how one shops, time spent shopping, how many are eating a given meal, the value of their time spent cooking and cleaning up, etc.
Being a shrewd consumer isn't being cheap, it's being frugal. Many frugal people end up financially stable and comfortable.
Why TC then? I've been on here for over 15 year so I fully understand how this place works. If you think it's stingy and a bad deal, don't take the deal. It's pretty simple. TCing is something that's been frowned upon at this site almost as long as it's been an unstated rule to not call a store to confirm a deal. And save the lecture on financial freedom for someone else, I don't need the advice as I've been practicing frugality for years. But I also don't pop onto deal forums to say it's a bad deal.
Your comments I responded to:
"So you don't understand pricing and price evaluation?"
"If it's not a good price for the amount they offer, then move on."
"If you don't like the price, move on."
These are deal forums, not advertising departments. If one has an issue with a "deal", I want to hear about it. Restaurant portion size to cost is highly relevant to value. Yes, occasionally such posts are clearly trolling, many times they're anecdotal, but I still want to hear all sides and make a decision for myself. I've thankfully avoided many headaches because of informative critics. Often one user with the courage to criticize a popular "deal" in the face of critic shamers (like yourself) motivates others to speak up as well, changing the narrative of the forum entirely.
I never mentioned anything about calling a store because it was never mentioned in your post I responded to. Calling about a price error or unadvertised discount or procedural exploit is commonly shouted down. Taking broad issue with a nationwide promotion is something else entirely.
Value can be highly subjective, so subjective opinions on value matter.
You're being a hypocrite here, lecturing another user on how to behave as a user/consumer and then telling me not to lecture you on how to behave as a user/consumer.
Many times critic shamers are likely either directly financially vested in the deal somehow, or participated and defend it so as to protect their ego from having been taken in a bad deal. Either way, your responses here have been aggressive, irrational, and suspect IMO.
* Participating for 15 years doesn't mean anything other than one has been participating for 15 years. If it meant more, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

My family says "Panda Express it" when a container has so much inside that the lid squishes it down. Ever since the pandemic I have noticed that Panda Express does not "Panda Express it" anymore.
