Ordered 2 on the last sale. These are great heaters. Highly recommend them, great build quality. A very strong fan. We haven't had to turn on our heater at home.

1,500 Watts at 110 volts is 13.6 Amps. If you have this plugged in on a 15 Amp circuit and are running a few other things, then yes, it will trip. That's not an issue with the heater but with your home and your energy consumption meaning whatever else you have running on that circuit breaker.

there is "no fix" because nothing needs to be fixed.. if you are tripping breakers, it's because you are overloading it or have a faulty breaker.

The white one doesn't absorb heat so you will get a warmer room than the black one

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank filfil

Bought yesterday, got it today. I happen to have an old govee 5102 thermometer and they can pair (using the so-called distributed gateway), nice.
BTW - re some post saying it only comes on in "high" setting with automation - it's not true. You can select low/mid and oscillation on/off in automation - just pay attention when you set up the automation or you're very likely to miss it

nice! been running a black one for a couple of months, linked to their hygrometer/thermometer, and the Govee app is quite excellent as far as setting a schedule and heating parameters. in for one of the white. thanks op repoed

I have the non-oscillating version from the last sale on slickdeals and use it to keep snow from gathering on my car. I like that it's wi-fi so I can connect and check the current temp and that it graphs the increase in temp. Saved me from scraping icy windshields or running outside to start the car 30 minutes before I have to leave so I think it's worth it. I just put it on the passenger seat, plug it into a extension cord and close the door on the cord, the door doesn't damage the cord.
I can't tell if you are joking, if not enjoy your car bomb 💣 😂

Turn the car on and turn on the defroster is how I do it.

This for $30 (basically) or the 16" version for $45? They are both 1500W. At the same wattage, will a larger heater throw more heat? Any other relevant differences between the two?
At the same wattage they should throw the same heat, 1500 W of it (minus what is used for the fan which will be recovered a bit later ...). I guess if one has a bigger fan it will move the heat around the room faster and further in the short term (but maybe less of it if the fan uses more to run). But after a while, the room should pretty much reach the same temp with either.

Jokes aside, he did raise my curiosity on whether the product/company is legit. While my first impression with the heater is good, I went to do some google search and found out the founder of Govee actually is one of the founders of Anker, and (as a result) Anker invests in Govee. That explains a lot for me.

Trying to buy the black one. 20% clip coupon works but not promo code XKRKCWGO. Can anyone verify ?

I just checked and its still working on my end. Try copy pasting the code for the black one XKRKCWGO

Sometimes that seems to work better

Thanks OP just got one with the promo code. Will test it out to see if it trips anything and the heating, if all good I can return the Lasko one I got from costco and keep this one.

I hope you're using a 15A+ extension cord, otherwise you're risking a car fire. I'd still be hesitant about this setup.
Yeah, I feel like a remote starter would be a really good investment for him.

I have the same question.. let me know if you figure it out
I don't if it's the new app update or if it was there all along ....but, below all the low med high auto.... controls on the app...is 2 folders ..1 is auto stop the other folder is maintain ...click auto stop ... target temp. Default/Range.....select default... and below that you can select ...low med high ....because I needed the low setting when it kicks off and on for a bathroom. It perfect now. ... I didn't need it to go full tilt every time it kicks on for a small bathroom.
