I ordered this earlier today, but they never sent the code by email and the order is not showing up in my recent orders on their website. I know that my order must have been placed because my debit card payment to them shows as pending. Now the price on their website has changed to $50.
I'm getting the same price and the discount is only for 10 percent of that and nothing more. I'm guessing they had put the price and discount at the wrong amount earlier today which is why so many here got them dirt-cheap.
I wasn't saying that necessarily. I was saying others have suggested creating a new Universal account but you can't unless you have purchased something within the last two weeks from the eligible retailers.
Maybe someone has figured out a different way.
Thanks. This gives me hope.
I have several other movies purchased from Amazon linked to my MA account and at least one (Kungfu Panda) is a Universal movie. They all show up in my MA account (linked to my new Universal Reward account) so I'm hoping they just need time to "update" their system to show eligible movies from MA.
Beyond that, I can find some digital codes from my Blu-ray collection to try to add.
To those who were getting the error and unable to create or log in to an account, I think the "bug" is resolved. I submitted a help request but never got a response. Logged in today and my balance shows 4,050 points based on the deal purchase + 50 for linking my MA account. I didn't have to purchase any other Universal movies to create the account. Hope this now works for others, too!
EDIT: I actually did get a reply but hadn't seen the mail. The response was "We appreciate your patience while we got our tech team to sort a few things out. Your account has been manually verified. ☺️ You can log in here using the login method (e.g., Facebook, Amazon, etc.) you used to register your account."
This was in response to a help request on the error message: "We're sorry - Please complete the registration process with a valid purchase"

Yup, I was coming to post this here. I received the same email regarding the sign in issue from yesterday. I also used the contact us form & they just sent the email about the fix. You can sign in now & the points show up. Sorry to those who replied to my post yesterday. After I posted I didn't check back in to see the replies. Thank you to those who posted & to the op again.

Thanks for the update
I still get this message and have not heard back from the ticket. I can't sign in or register. It just says "snap there's an error" or "please register"
However I received an email from "universal rewards" when I purchased this thanking me for my qualifying purchase via MA. So clearly they have some issue going on.
I got this deal and was not able to set up a new account. I tried all sorts of things, but I just couldn't log in. On the final registration page to link accounts, I would get an error message saying something like 'Snap! An error happened. Please try again'. Despite the error if I continued linking with MoviesAnywhere, it would link my account. MoviesAnywhere was showing I'm linked to UniversalRewards. But if I tried logging in with the credentials I had created, it would say 'Invalid credentials'. It was a mess.
I opened a ticket via their website, which allows for limited text. They gave me a generic response with instructions to steps I had already tried. But thankfully the email did say I can respond with screenshots. So, I sent them screenshots of all the steps and the error. They replied after a week apologizing for the delay, saying they suddenly were flooded with tickets (I wonder if that was because of this deal). Anyway, they included a code to some disc (I don't know which one), and asked me to register using a 'DVD Purchase' option. I did that, and account was created. However, initially I could not log in. I got the 'Invalid Credentials' error again (I was sure I was using the right credentials). Anyway, I clicked the 'Forgot Password' link and changed the password. Luckily this time I got in with the updated password.I had 1055 points at this stage. I'm guessing 1000 points for the digital purchases, and 55 points for the DVD code they sent. It just shows dates and points awarded; no additional details. My account already showed I was linked to MoviesAnywhere, but it kept advertising 50 points for linking accounts. So I logged into MoviesAnywhere, unlinked accounts. And then linked the accounts again. That awarded me 50 points, and I'm at 1105 points now.
It sucks that I didn't get 4000 points that many others on this thread got, but at least I was able to open an account.

You should link the Universal All-Access Rewards [myuniversalrewards.com] account to your Movies Anywhere before purchasing these films to earn points.
Otherwise, there's no real way to track your purchases after the fact if you redeemed your code.
