This is just to advise people who are disappointed in their Peet's K-cups from Amazon, that you might night be getting the real thing.

I'm not saying it's not good coffee. Just doesn't suit my taste
As for the pods themselves, Peet's pods are the ones I save to use with ground coffee. Since they come with more coffee in them, they hold more of my own coffee for a richer taste. I remove the foil top, rinse out the used grounds, and leave the paper filter in place. I don't see anything wrong with them, even after reusing them multiple times..
But Major D is far better and has a far more rich flavor. Doesn't taste 'standard'. My company has the cafeteria machines that grind and brew per cup and Major D is always on tap. the k-cup is close enough to that taste that whenever these are on sale, I jump.
Kirkland Bold when I'm cheap but want solid flavor, Major D when I'm pinky out and want that little extra in my morning cup.
Also, for the person asking how this compares to SanFran. I had a SanFran French Roast phase, mostly because you couldn't beat the price (and some k-cup waste guilt) but the last year or so, their pods have just tasted like ash. Or my tastes have changed.
Either way, this is a great deal and 31c per pod is fantastic for the quality I consider pods to possibly be.

I usually get SanFran French Roast when it's on sale which is often; guessing because French Roast is an unpopular flavor.
French roast is pretty good for ice coffee though due to its strong/bitter flavor IMO; I make it Japanese Style with my Keurig. Japanese Style Iced coffee is just hot coffee poured over ice; it's the cheap basterd lazy way to make it
