These are on clearance at my local home depot for 299, the only other depot around me that has stock also shows clearance, don't know what their price is though. They had a huge stack (BS shows 23 and 17 at the two stores around me). While this is a generic brand, it's awful cheap for a 24" 2 stage even if it needs some "adjusting" down the road.

Theres a parts diagram at the back of the instructions manual, if you google the parts many are available or cross over easily like the belt I posted previously. It's a regular horizontal 212cc motor so even if the motor is a total loss you can probably throw a harbor freight predator on it. https://images.homedepot-static.c...baea17.pdf

Lol I bought the big rear tine in that sale and that was one of the first things that crossed my mind when I saw the pile of them "is this going to be another Chinese gas OPE super sale?" but it seems like only this model is on clearance at least around me. I'm still on the fence about this, I feel like the super mild winter may be lulling me into a false sense of my little battery snow blower being enough, but I really don't want to store yet another giant piece of equipment either.

Your location makes that make a lot more sense. I'm in Fort Wayne IN and I'd be shocked if someone wanted more than 40-50 for a similar sized job at our house.

had a friend at HD confirm the $399 price in her NJ region. Still on the fence about pickup up a spare 24" powersmart, although the only thing my 6+ y/o powersmart has needed so far were shear pins and a pull cord
