This is 5 days late but yes. This would tear through games on Linux Mint/Ubuntu. Any issues would tend to be around proton or general limitations on Linux. If I were on Linux and did some things like VMs and also gaming this would be my go-to atm though it's arguably overkill for most people. 4k gaming especially, you're soo much more reliant on your GPU so if you have a tighter budget... I'd probably get even a 7600 cpu and a nicer GPU but this would be a monster CPU for that
