Googled for cheap whey and found this thread
https://www.reddit.com/r/Suppleme...cing_bulk/

Linked to this source & been buying that 15lbs 3x5 bags at a time and splitting it with friends and it's been great unflavored - there's also other flavors but that's my end game, tough to beat. Figured I should share with others, everyone I share this with is amazed at the pricing and they're also certified, check out the thread for details - seems legit.

The store has a ton of other types of proteins too and flavors.

This is the normal price. I've bought this twice and have no complaints. I still prefer the MyProtein whey isolate but their prices have gotten out of hand, so I buy this stuff now.

Been buying this for over a year. Good quality, and the cheapest protein that isn't loaded with two days worth of cholesterol.

Taste is perfectly acceptable, but just a little weak compared to the big namebrand tubs. Sometimes it's nice to toss in a little extra cocoa powder or a splash of some Torani vanilla coffee syrup.

Mixes well in cold water. It doesn't get thick like some brands, so it won't feel like a meal.

The egg protein is decent too, but I switched to whey at the request of my wife.

I bought some egg protein 3lbs for 37 is crazy cheap for egg. Whey isolate is weird 3lbs costs less per pound than 5 lbs

*This post ended up being a bit longer winded than I initially intended*

There are a lot of people commenting about this product (line) and I wanted to add to it.

Though New World Protein is not very popular, it is NOT cheap foreign protein. The owner of this company is a guy named Plato. He is/was a knowledgeable guy who did countless videos about working out, nutrition, and the "bro" lifestyle. Unfortunately, He was banned by youtube.

The channel was the same name, newworldnutrition or newworld nutritionals I forget) because the topics of his videos pushed against the terms of service.
Specifically, the use of PED's, as well as what some people could consider "conspiracy theories" in terms of big pharma. He's also a bit of a "red pill" guy back before red pill was a thing.

I could go on and on about some of the subjects he broached but the short answer is that I really did enjoy his channel because he gave a lot of value and straight answers.
I never got the sense that he was an internet marketer disguised as a "bro." Every once in a while, he would plug his protein but it wasn't every video, and it was for protein and not some online coaching program.

Despite being banned for "spreading misinformation" Plato has a fair amount of credibility with me because so much of his advice given on youtube held true. When he used to plug this stuff, he would tout it as the best quality protein on the market. Something along the lines of "it's not cheap protein, it's quality, and you pay for that quality."

He never gave me the impression in the dozens of videos I watched as being dishonest. I was broke 7 or so years ago when the man was actively posting videos so I never tried his product. At $37.33 per 5 pounds ($112/3) that is not a bad deal. The price of whey has gone up just like everything else.

Quick note: Obviously, the man has made an impression on me because he was on a mission to share his knowledge for the betterment of his viewers. Simple things. But helpful things.

(example, try hanging for long periods of time to ease shoulder joint pain, or how the biggest guy in the gym won't always give the best workout advice because they are big because of drugs or genetics.)

All this talk inspired me to do a half hearted search on Rumble to see if Plato has started posting vids again. He has not. =(

Anyways, in for one.

Will report back on if the protein passes the "basic 3" test.

Basic 3, how to know if a protein is good:
1) Does it taste good? Yes, in the pursuit of getting swole, we can choke down chalk. But we shouldn't have to. If it tastes good, we'll drink more of it. If it tastes good, we'll know the company has spent resources ACTUALLY taste testing their product.
2) Does it mix with a spoon? It is an extra (and costly) manufacturing step to add non clumping agents to protein. Many companies skip it.
3) Can you drink it without intestinal issues? Gas, diarrhea, bloating, these are all signs of low quality protein. One of the reasons some of us use protein powder and not milk, or milk powder is because we're lactose intolerant. A cheap manufacturer will either not filter the whey to remove the lactose, or keep/add it as a filler.

In for one, and will post back with my findings.

The fact YT banned him means he was probably legit and selling an honest product. YT is the capital of clot shot spreading marketing and hate markets towards legit natural remedies and vitamins. They sure do love plugging questionable ingredients and sure to fail workout routines though. It's almost as if they hate people trying to make good choices.

Either you're joking or you're making horrible choices... Nobody needs 800 grams of protein a day
I mean its whey so it's pretty easy to burn as calories (4 cal / g) so that's 3200 calories. I've been doing this for a few months now and haven't gained any weight, actually I've gotten leaner. I do take several multivitamins a day to make up for the lack of nutrition. I'm a bit gassy and my #2's are like soft serve ice cream but that's not out of the ordinary for me.

Can't be any worse than Atkins or Keto or Paleo or whatever. Maybe I can sell a nutrition book called "Turbodog's Turbocharged Stanley Cup Diet"............?

Peace

Did you know that Bayer sold aspirin, in stores, that was tainted with HIV? Look it up, it happened.

Been buying this isolate for a couple years now. I think I'm on my 5th batch from this seller and I've noticed that the taste kind of changes from batch to batch. I have only gotten chocolate and it's a very mild flavor where I will add nesquik or Ovaltine so make it a better tasting shake.

Never have been disappointed with the protein and the shipping usually takes 3 days from day of ordering to my doorstep each time.

Back in the day when I lived in the gym I averaged 500 grams of protein per day. That was with a body weight of 250 and bf <10%

I can see elite top tier athletes such as; power lifters, body builders, strong men hitting that number.
wtf? 500 grams?

Get unflavored if you're reallly frugal and want a few extra servings of protein per container. Flavoring just cuts into the weight and dilutes the protein concentration slightly.

50 cents a serving is good? That is what I normally spend
Because it's isolate and not concentrate it is a better deal since isolate is usually higher than normal prices.

For those who have purchased, how far out is the sell by date usually?
I got a new batch, 4th batch I've ordered, splitting with some people and the current one says 2026 so like 2 years out

Good to know for my own monitoring... I buy unflavored, haven't noticed anything but am curious.

If you are building muscle you want 1.5 to 2 grams of protein times your body weight.
