To SD staffer: Any possible way to see the polling reasons for the thumb down? At least one TD from me is because of "not a good price". EV prices will continue to fall!
TD because it is not a good price, but not because the prices are expected to go down! a month ago inventory Model Y Long Range was cheaper than this.

Better to purchase used Tesla. It's 30% off new one. I bought new 2023 MYLR 7 seat with FSD for $69k. Guess how much carmax would purchase my car for? Not even $40k. Having 7 seater and FSD wont make any more than $1000 difference.
lol 69k for Y?? what were you smoking

Don't forget to use free code from current Tesla owner. I used my brothers when I bought mine. Got free supercharging for 6 months.

The time is not right for an EV for many people. Maybe some day, but most early adopters have gotten screwed so far, even if they are unwilling to admit it. I'd rather get a hybrid if I need a new car. Expecting downvotes on this from the EV owners who have been screwed and wont admit it.

It all depends. I have two EVs, Niro 22 and Leaf 23. Got both when the Federal Tax credit was available for them, the APR of 2.49% on both, received $2K for going through Kia Finance for Niro, and I didn't pay for those crazy gas prices during 21-22. So, I am okay. Would I buy the MY now? No, because I want it to be a replacement for my long distance driver, currently Acura RDX 16 Advance, and I appreciate the cooled seats when driving down to FL from the NE Smilie

That's because FSD is a scam, it's still not fully functional and the car might lose FSD if you sell it to someone else other than Tesla.

Also, right now it's better than buy new if you are able to get the tax credit.

Hybrid is the answer right now. No worry of fuel range at all. ICE will never go away.
