According to many Panny's HCX chip mitigates that to an extent, and it's supposed to do wonders when playing DVDs and regular BRs.

Fake news! Most modern projectors have Dolby Vision. My Hisense and Nexigo UST projectors have DV.
Actually that is incorrect "most" do not support native DV.
